    Just been reading some stats on another forum on Del's performance pointswise and have come up with some interesting info......

    1)
    Under Delboy this season...16 games played,24 points achieved an average of 1.5 points per game...
    Under Millen this season.....10 games played,06 points achieved an average of 0.6 points per game...

    2)
    If Delboy had been in charge for 46 games and achieved the same ratio we would of ended up with 69 points,with Millen 28(27.6) points.

    3)
    Top 6 position for the last 4 seasons...

    * 07/08....70.
    * 08/09....74.
    * 09/10....70.
    * 10/11....75.

    Conclusion,under Millen relegation,Delboy survival in the Championship this season and with a bit of luck top six, next and we might even do better than thought this one.

    Up the City..

    Really think we need to improve,before we are top six material wiz,but the signs especially over the few games are very very encouraging.
    Donny we were supurb for the majority of the game.
    Reading very very harsh result,we will come good.
    Listening to radio Berkshire driving back their pundits could not believe we are still fighting a relagation battle,not to mention Reading fans saying we were the better team.
    It is not all doom and gloom.:emoticon-0148-yes::emoticon-0148-yes:

    Doing more than ok given the **** he inherited and the NM situation.

    Having seen the highlights yesterday and read the reports we appear to have been hard done by at Reading.

    Need to focus on getting to 50 plus points asap and if that means grinding out 1-0 home wins and scrappy away draws I'll be delighted.

    How many times do we have to hear that we don't look like a struggling club in this division? The fact of the matter is that we are a club that needs to improve to retain our current championship status.

    Our defence has limited our goals against but until we start scoring goals we will continue to struggle and right now I don't see that happening even though we keep getting improved reports.

    The thread of "Delboys doing OK" is fine with me and I think we have finally got the manager we need but I want to see positive reports based on good performances coupled with points in the bag. We're not faraway and perhaps once the "situation" is sorted out we can focus on what's important and that is the club fortunes.

    The NM "situation" will be sorted in a few days whatever happens.
    If he goes that will be best for all in my opinion - particulalry if it allows Del to bring a couple in.
    If he stays the fans need to accept the situation as we can't do anything about it then.
    It would be better to cheer NM and get behind him for the rest of the season in the hope
    he gets us a few goals before he goes. No point in having a go at him as it won't change anything
    and we'll just be undermining the team and Del's efforts.....

    Inver,I did start the thread with,' Performance pointswise' and with all the NM negativity going on there is no doubt in my mind Delboy is a breath of fresh air,his points performance is good and a positive thread stating that is well deserved.

    I don't think any of us underestimate the hill we have still got to climb but compared to our Millen days things look a lot brighter.

    looks like maynard be staying and your manager says if maynard stays then he will be very much involved. how will your fans re-act to maynard on the pitch?

    Depends if he scores.

    I'll be among the first to acknowledge that us supporters are a fickle lot.

    He's obviously going to get booed everytime he gets the ball, as Delboy said this morning on goals on Sunday, it's the results that matter at this time and not the performances

    I trust delboy to do the right thing no matter what happens with Nicky. Should he stay, and I hope he doesn't, then we have to get behind the team whoever plays.

    Tomorrow could be an interesting day so sleep well all.

    He was not welcomed yesterday,he won't get a reception anymore from the Ashton gate faithful.
    He burnt his Briches.
    I just hope he goes tomorrow for the clubs and fans sake.

    Should Nicky decide to stay (and play) I can see him getting a very rough reception considering he has basically screwed us out of transfer fee. Perhaps he'll sign for someone tomorrow but I won't hold my breath. SAD.

    if he scores the winner in your next game, obviously you will cheers the goal and result as its your club of course but will you forgive the man?

    i can see him staying and splitting your fans. there will be those supporting and those hating. we had the same thing with buckle in october and there were nearly fights in the blackthorn end.

    i say support him. who knows he may still decide to change his mind and stay with you signing a new contract.

    If he stays and Delboy picks him,some of us won't agree but we will cheer for him to score.

    I personally will cheer for the lad and If he leaves us,so be it .

    Bristol City means far more to me than a sad individual...

    I read that earlier today,thankyou cjs for highlighting it,they were BCFC fans pissed off with some very young racist twats and what disgust it caused with BCFC fans on that forum..

    All racism is a sick disease and should be treated,whatever our colour..

    Some of the posters on that thread obviously don't read their own forum, you have had at least two "I heard racist chants" threads on that forum in the last 12 months!

    I've read them myself!
