Alan Smith will be signing for MK dons for the remainder of the season. Apparently Newcastle are going to pay (try not to laugh) £57,500 of his £60,000 a week wages!
Worth a punt for a League One side if you ask me.

 

Wonder what he considers 'scary' though - All down to personal interpretation. If we payed anything over £7.5m for him, I'd be worrying.

 

No the rumours are not lies or at least in part..........The Celtic board are saying they did not agree to new contract talks until the summer. Close friends of his are saying he is not happy about it, but there is no mention of him being willing to re open negotiations with us or any one else!

I think it's definitely a position we need cover in, Jaidi is to slow to play at this level and would only be used in an emergency IMO. Adkins seems to like to play with a right footed centre back (Fonte and Martin) and a left footed centre back (Hooiveld and Collins).

It seems common knowledge that we are looking to bring in a striker but I would also like to see another goalkeeper come in, even if it's just a loan. If Davis gets injured I wouldn't want to have to rely on the unpredictable Bart in what is bound to be a high pressure run in.

 

All will be revealed in the next 48 hours or so. Then what the hell will we all talk about!

Don't see how that would benefit us in any way, but I do believe it's true and the fee is said to be around £1m.

 

Would be very surprised if we paid a million for someone who is 25 and hasn't played above the conference. Can't see it.
