    hmm, maybes, but they've never played along side each other so it could take some time to get a good partnership going. Well they've been given permission to speak with him, and if the reports are true that Zamora doesn't get along with Jol, then i'd say he'll be a QPR player by 11pm

    Saying that, Jones/Cisse didn't work very well at Sunderland when we thought it would - maybe your right.

    No, I don't. But here's the problem - Pardew believes in having two different CB's, a ball player (Colo) and a headerer (Saylor, Willo). Obviously we've got 1st choice in both positions, and 2nd choice in one position. As we need 4 players, the player he's looking to bring in is 2nd choice behind Colo, right? So to interest anyone in knowingly playing 2nd fiddle is going to be really tough. The added problem is that because Perch played reasonably well against Champ opposition on the weekend, Pards has probably decided that if Mariappa won't come, it won't really matter.

    Personally, I think foresaking a potential place in Europe because Steven "Injury" Taylor is your first choice is ****ing idiotic. I'd have much rather us go out and try and nail Pieters, Vertonghen, Mbiwa, or any one of those players who have 6-12 mths left on a contract and who could actually be fcking relied upon. But no. We now lump everything on Colo's shoulders and somehow try and turn Perch/Williamson into Premiership footballers. I'm mightily pissed off today - this is a proper opportunity lost.
