    I think of him as one to get in now as back up for the rest of this season but I'd hope for better if we're holding off until the summer.

    Yeah I'm pretty much the same; he's young and doesn't seem totally useless to me. I'd rather take a chance on somebody else in CB backup than Perch and this lad seemed to keep Adebayor quiet in the cup.

    I think it's a case of being a good, cheap buy this window to act as cover/competition without Taylor around, and then challenging Willo for the bench next season, but in the summer we'll have Taylor back, and would be better off signing a first team challenger / Colo replacement.

    Good enough for cover at Brighton though in the CCC. Not many CCC clubs have full internationals with over 50 caps.

    I suppose. Although Leeds have Forssell, he has 81 caps and he barely plays (because he's terrible).

    I think Mariappa would be a decent signing. Seems better than Williamson, can play right back I think. He's got a lot of experience for his age, bit concerning that he hasn't played for any of the England youth teams though, especially when crap like Gary Cahill is considered the creme de la creme in this country. Can't really go wrong for £2-3m, even if he's only fourth choice.

    Yep he played something like 23 games at RB in their premier league season and many more in the championship. Would be good cover.
