I think we need to finish outside the top four to convince the management that something needs to chance, to be honest. No finishing quality. I don't care if by the time I've hit send there's been a goal for us, we just need strikers who can PUT THE ****ING BALL IN THE NET.
Its especially annoying because I was saying that all summer too. We need some better midfielders too, the ones we have are quite good (about 4th place quality) but have been overworked. Oh yeah and another winger. And a left back.
Sorry my bad...I just read the We Need To Finish Outside Top 4 Part I want us to finish 4th by a point AW Retires New Manager Comes In RvP signs We buy a creative AM
To be honest, if we finish 7th, I don't think much would change, other factors would be blamed for us not doing well and I can't see us spending much money in summer either.
I'll tell you. Bobby Zamora - He would have been happy to sit on the bench if needed, I'm sure, and would have chosen us over QPR. Proven Finisher. Taye Taiwo - For cover at left back, on loan. Clint Dempsey - Just what we need going forward. Three signings, one a loan, so much difference, and for what? £13m max?
NOTHING will change. the Board know that the Club is worth more every year. Wenger doesn't spend - apart from on youth, or where there might be resale value. Sounds great. Emirates was a sell out - starting to see gaps appearing? There is little ambition beyond Wenger doing somersaults to keep us in CL - maybe this year he can't. Wenger is so stubborn that he will not accept his methods are not working. Two more years on his contract.
Nobody, we are a top squad, as you the Wenger Brigade keep telling us, we have an excellent team, so no improvements needed at all, why should we? 7th place is a very very good position to be in, the top half of the league, and with an excellent financial position, who wouldn't want to be in such a position, happy days, in Wenger we Trust!
Worst squad under Wenger's tenure. ****e bench. Depressing performances from our attacking players (apart from RVP). I hope that Wenger and the board change their attitude towards their transfers this summer or we are ****ed.
He wrote his reply under a post that listed a few players who were on the market (maybe not Dempsey) that would improve us.
Dempsey was the only one that I would have wanted from that list. WHY Rosicky didn't start last night after his fantastic performance against Villa I have no idea. He could have made the difference, since he has the vision.
Talk about an apologist which is why I've placed him on 'ignore'. Makes life more bearable even if our team's performance isn't. You know Gooner, that is my fear too. Sadly the business model has not only overtaken but left the sporting one behind. I just don't know how anyone can provide a credible explanation or justification for the way we are. Unless there are whole scale changes to the men who run this club, we may never get back to the way we were.
You don't know what Piskie posted, but instead choose to take whatever Auntie Jamrag says as gospel? What a foolish sheep you are lol
Im not so sure it's just the players anymore. I still think we had the players to beat Bolton yesterday had Wenger made the correct subs at the right time. Due to his slow reactions, he delayed the subbing of both Walcott and Ramsey when they clearly weren't being effective. We had Rosicky, Henry and Benny to come on that would have made an impact had they come on earlier.
I thought we had brokered a lasting peace? I did see what Piskie wrote HF because Jayram quoted it. We all hurt but what I cannot understand is how he continuously supports the club's policies while we slide away from the heights we once knew.
