Wasn't a massive fan of the BME EP. Few good moments but generally disappointing, especially when compared to what the two of them concuted back in the late 90s. Royce has really started to bore me off late. His early stuff with Em, and Death Is Certain are great, but I just find him pretty bland. I find Salughterhouse as a collective incredible dull.

I never minded the pop star disses to be honest. At a time when horrible bubblegum music was everywhere, he kind of nailed what a lot of people were thinking, but wouldn't say. As long as he delivered the disses in a decently clever/humorous way (the Will Smith line is brilliant), then I'm not fussed. His disses to Everlast were just ridiculously good as well. I wouldn't say Ja tore him a new one, but Em was starting to wobble around that time (2003) so was never going to really seriously murder him.

Majority of his fans are complete idiots who will gobble up anything he does. And won't realise what made him great in the first place. That's the case with most large fan bases though.

Well, yeah I'm not going to defend anything Eminem did between 2004-2007. Encore is unbelieavably bad, but that's pretty much all because he was chucking 40 ambien a day into his mouth. The Mariah Carey thing was pretty stupid, especially when he had Canibus (another horrible rapper) dissing him. The Warning was decent but not responding to Canibus was a bit pathetic really. The accents were annoying, although I liked Relapse in parts (Deja Vu is close to his prime best). Recovery gets worse with age and Not Afraid made me embarrased to be an Eminem fan.

That'll be my last post on Eminem anyway, I've pretty much derailed the thread <laugh>

Ok not quite American as Tre is Canadian but they do sound similarish......! P Diddy has spit on Grime (I know he is not much of a rapper but still!) and it sounded decent.

He's very talented. He's occasionally a bit melodramatic (start of the song you posted for eg), and falls back on cliches too often, but he has a lot going for him. He's supporting Talib Kweli in Manchester in March, which interests me.

JME was better out of those three IMHO

But to be honest I would take this anyday: (skip to 45 sec if the start is killing you ;) )

    Edit - that's better

Poor Blizzard. He is being hung out to dry by people who don't understand what he is saying. Heard him tons of times but Mark Grist is very good (never heard him before though)
