So the Ref compounded his initial error by allowing a free kick 5 yards distant from where it should have been?
yes. it's called common sense. it was on the halfway line ffs. remember the league cup final? that wasnt on the spot when wee weiss put jela through. no uproar then why now?
Who says there's an uproar? I said already i'm not bothered, Rangers were gash - as they have been for yonks - and had to rely on two ****ey/flukey goals to scrape a win.
Dev, there is no referee that would pull back a free kick that far out for the sake of 5 yards. The players would have been giving him an earful if he had slowed the game down. The best referees are the ones who try to allow a free flowing game of football (although you can't really describe any game in the SPL as free flowing)
especially with a pitch like that. I think clubs should be punished for bad pitches. motherwell's last season was a joke
Bang on And the season before that and the season before that, they should have been deducted points.
Dunno - I just remember that the Ibrox pitch was a state a few years ago and thought I'd do a bit of petty point-scoring For what it's worth, I heard about twenty years ago that Ibrox is harder to maintain than most grounds (the Clyde water table is only a few feet below the ground) - indeed the word "Ibrox" comes from the Gaelic word for island - that area before the Clyde was narrowed to make it deeper was prone to flooding, I think. Celtic Park, apparently, has a network of really really old mines below it which means that its drainage is easy to maintain. All of this was word of mouth and could be utter pish
I thought it was Badger Island but it's Badger's Ford apparently http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibrox,_Glasgow
Oh dear despite being the last score in (whoops 1-1 ) send us 4 clear could be 14 by the end of the week!!!
