I know a lot of you don't give a monkeys about England so feel free to ignore this if so.

JT has been stripped of the captaincy again. Looks like it's been taken out of Postman Twat's hands this time. This leaves us with more problems ahead of a major tournament and apparently Terry will still be made available for England. Yes stripping him of the captaincy is punishment but this is already his second or third chance and I think it's time we stopped selecting himfor England squads. There's no denying his talent, but he is replaceable and we could do without the distraction of him being here and the potential problems it will cause - his relationship with Rio being a major concern. I say give Stevie G the captaincy and forget about JT all together, what do you lads reckon?

Also before anyone says 'innocent until proven guilty' I have made my mind up from the footage of the incident as most people have!

I don't think he'll get in. We can't win the euros anyway so I would be looking to the next tournament and looking to blood the likes of Jones/Smalling, while keeping the likes of Cahill/Jagielka. Of course Capello is unlikely to do so as he will want to take a mixture and try to win. Regardless either way I don't see a role for Terry. I think he is behind the following: Jagielka/Lescott/Cahill - none of these three have let England down. All have been very solid. Ferdinand - He has shown signs of his best again lately. That's 4 and I'd rate Smalling as a better option too. Jones is very good and will surpass the others with time but at present he still has a fair bit of learning to do.

The squad should be selected purely on footballing reasons. The fact that he's a racist doesn't affect his ability to defend, the fact that he's a carthorse does and that's why he probably shouldn't go.

The captaincy is a different matter, they have to be a leader, a talisman and a role model. Terry isn't any of these things, he would be a good leader if he had the respect of the dressing room, but given half the squad is black and he was found out to have slept with a teammate's bird means he's probably not going to have this. And given all his misdemeanours he's a terrible ambassador for English football and has been rightly stripped of the armband. I'm surprised it's taken this long.

The only thing I like about Terry is that he is really committed and seems to actually give a crap about playing for england which is more than all the other players.

He shouldn't go as he has been gash this year, same with Rio, lampard and gerrard, hardly played any consecutive games this season so why the **** do they deserve to go to the euros?

Gerrard needs to go because he is our best midfielder. I'd take him if he manages to stay fit. He'll have played half the season. Same with Wiltshire, has to go if fit. Rio is a difficult one because he is playing very well again now. I think Lampard and Terry have just gone past their best.

Gerrard has to go, he's the only world class player England have apart from Cashley.

Don't think hes world class any more personally, but still one of the best English mid-fielder's(probably the best).

Terry shouldn't be allowed anywhere near the squad. I wonder if the FA had a say on when his trial was mind, suspicious that it's AFTER the Euros.

I think he's just missed games through injury, meaning its easy to forget how good he is. He seems to be man of the match every time I see him play.

Don't agree with this. They have to prove themselves in the time they are fit, you can't pick them on past glories. Look at Owen in 2006, disastrous selection. They have to be fit and playing well. Gerrard has looked decent on his return but he hasn't shown enough yet to be an automatic selection.

Should never have been given the captaincy back, should have a clear out of all the old boys (Terry,Gerrard,Ferdinand,Lampard) start bringing more of the younger players in. We'll never get anywhere keeping these over paid egostical pricks in the team.
The german team were questioned for playing so many younger players,But has worked wonders
Bringing them through from under 21 into senior team into the euro's get's them playing regularly with each other so they know each other well and sets us up better for the next world cup instead of the usual over hyped, limping along team that we have. Probably find the younger players will play with more pride and hunger.

Give Milner the captaincy, good honest professional in the middle of the park so can communicate with the strikers and defence.

I think Gerard can still do a job for England (took us apart when he came on). Milner would be a decent shout for captain or (and I know I'm going to get abuse) Scott Parker.

I'd actually agree with you mate either Milner or Parker.

They are both players that show commitment to the cause, and are good role models.

Being captain isn't just about being a good player, you should be a leader which the other players respect and a good role model.
Terry is non of this, he has no respect for fellow players of club and country (Wayne Bridge) and just a horrible big headed prick.
Gerrard is the same, decent player but hasn't played enough this season and needs to be kept away from the DJ's box. Again egostical prick.
