When I brought this up before Xmas everyone was clamouring for a striker who would be out of our price renge - the reason was that so many were unhappy with the performance of Fryatt. The only way to get a 'bigger' name was to use promised funds and also sell to gain more - Fryatt, at that time would have been worth more than he will in the summer after a continued barren patch. To answer your question, have a look at how long Fryatt has been with the team and how long he has been wasting hard earned assists. A non-hypothetical response is that I do support the lads, but hold the right to discuss the team and it's squad without some jumped up pratt trying to take a moral high ground - push those sticks alot higher, it can no no harm whatsoever in a vacuum.

He's our price-ticket striker and he looks very poor on the ball and misses simple goals - I think we pay him a decent wedge to do this; if reading this upsets him, perhaps he should borrow your Beano!

Pearson did a great job for us but this was definitely his biggest mistake. We spent £2.5m on strikers a year ago and since then we've been no better at scoring than we were before. For that amount we really should have got a decent pair. I don't think either of them are great but the biggest crime was that they are too similar. They both work hard and run about but have the exact same weaknesses - height, getting the ball under control and finishing. Having looked at views from the Leicester and P'Boro fans at the time this is what I thought and I tried to reserve judgment for a while but I'm pretty sure now that everything they told us was right and the two definitely weren't the right pair for us at the time.

It's okay to criticise other players, why should Fryatt be different? There is this attitude wth City fans that if an unpopular player has a bad game he is ****, but even when Fryatt is missing chance after chance he isn't actually **** it's someone else's fault (target man, etc.)

if you want to drop Fryatt, we have a perfectly capable striker called Simpson, I just don't get why he isn't being used..

No, I meant what Iwrote, he misses simple goals; he is offered many a chance, which he takes, but he does **** all with it except miss simple goals. An opportunity is a chance, not all opportunities end up as goals, some are fluffed and Fryatt is becoming a high price fluffer.

Do we have a higher priced player who is consistantly being played as a specialist striker and not as an attacking midfielder? If the answer is no, then that's just Dandy!!

Because when every game starts, this will be the one when Fryatt suddenly finds his form - the next goal will be another penalty!

People mention Simpson a bit recently but I reckon there is something going on behind the scenes with him and that's why he doesn't get a look in, we need one of our spies on here to fill us in on that one! He is a goalscorer though and with the likes of Brady and Stewart feeding him then you'd think it would be logical that he would get a run-out soon given the lack of goals in the side.
