Harrys biggest mistake is/was to put his hat into the mix for the england job

    Clearly not wanted imo

cloughie and redknapp probably the best english managers yet politics denies them the opportunity

Anyone else think england are not supposed to win anything

unban eddie, there is a CT here

i agree he should have just consontrated on the spurs job none of this would have come out in the press. The fa want someone who has a clean history and a yes man thats why the fa have won **** all since 1966.Clough would have been ideal for the england job he spoke his mind and let people know if they where playing crap-imagine him at the time he applied for the job in the england dressing room -i think one manager who could one day take over the england job is clough son whos managing derby hes had no money to spend and is doing an incredable job for derby this year.My fav manager has to be curbishley he done wonders with charlton in the season 2002 when we won at spurs chelsea and liverpool and arsenal that was an amazing season for me upto 2nd after beating spurs away 1-0.O neil would be perfect as well hes done wonders with sunderland and i reckon he could do a decent job for england and who has o neil learned his trade from yes brian clough.

This may sound like a CT or even anti British as some say <doh> but I think the england manager doesnt make the decisions regarding the team.
I think FA dont believe they will win any competition and do what they can to maximise profits. Hence the rushing back of the likes of becks and rooney, who lets face it bring more in revenue than the prize for winning a competition.
The same for the likes of gerrard and lamps even though my autistic little one knows they dont play well together

I personally think capello is like wenger, he says the right things, builds up hype by winning the qualifiers (for wenger see top 4) and then reverts to type and gets an extended contract for his troubles, all th etime keeping the money rolling in
No way the likes of clough and redknap would accept that

    see above post by me

IMO wenger doesnt prioritise trophies etc. He is happy enough to be in all competitions making the board etc happy

If thats what england want then keep capello, he is doing that

HMRC have a hard-on for football atm, especially over Portsmouth ducking the millions they own. The evidence is pretty damning. An account he's hidden for years from everyone, a failed investment no-one can find any paperwork for, contradictory stories from Mandaric and Redknapp ove rwhat the money is for, a taped conversation (admittedly with a NotW reporter) where he says it's a bonus, which he says he was lying in because he didn't want to look guilty, I reckon he's going down myself, whether he's actually guilty or not I couldn't say.
