Wales are going to win the six nations. We have a good young side, and a manager who knows what he's doing. France have a new manager, didn't look convincing today (sorry Italy), Scotland are ****, England are unpredictable, and Ireland rely too much on Brian O'Driscoll, who's out injured.
I would go for the folllowing 1. Wales 2. France 3. Ireland 4. England 5. Scotland 6. Italy. Not 100% sure who hosts who when France, Wales and Ireland are playing each other.
can anyone tell me what happened on this board, have a load left? sorry if this has been asked 100 times just curious if they've gone elswhere or simply gone
There was people from GC posting up inappropriate and disgusting pictures of Gary Speed, after the inquest into his death last weekend, think there was also a feeling that the mods on here don't have enough control over this board against cross threads with the GC board. Though Syd is appealing for this to be sorted out.
It's not about Speed, or at least not for me. I didn't care about their poor attempts at trolling, although distasteful, he was only a player for us, no matter how good and legendary. The new forum is simply better for us, the Newcastle board was effectively an entire forum's worth of community contained in one sub-forum on a forum which didn't operate the way we'd like and was already the turf of another large group. With the new forum we get the changes we want made in reasonable time, get to shape the forum from the off and have the freedom of an entire forum with real categorisation, instead of the clusterfuck that the Newcastle board turned into. Also, we have better smilies.
That's just the way it looked to me, I might be reading it wrong but it seems strange how many people moved to another site after the original Gary Speed mockery, then when it popped up again this week the new site is set up. If people feel that forum is better then that is there decision but personally I prefer the way this is set up and like the idea that you can still have banter with supporters of other teams on here. I personally plan to use both sites as both have benefits that interest me.
I think alot of the problem lies in the attitude that most people held that they if wanted a change they could click their fingers Mick would have it done. In fairness, firstly, Mick appears to be a busy kinda guy, second, its not just simply clinking an option button to change the core functionalty of the site, changes have to be painstakingly coded into it. He is paying someone several hundred of his own pounds to code the site to allow cross board thread to be properly regulated as a result of this seconid round of cross board madness. It just seems sly to me. It would appear that the new site was not a reactionary set up and has been in the pipeline for a while. The tiff with the GC lot just seems to have been used as an excuse for something that was going to happen anyway. I don't see why they couldn't have stated from the outset that they felt the community was large enough to begin their own venture and they were migrating. I would have saved mick time, effort and money fixing problems that didn't need to be sorted since the community was migrating anyway
