Thing is tho it hasn't just been the odd bad decision by him. He is getting worse, he has also showed the most red cards in the championship. He is a very poor ref imo.
Shocking decisions, both of them. The first tackle from Foxy was not a yellow card, let alone a foul. The second yellow was a foul, that's all.Ref was crap, stopped play far too much and gave away some really awful decisions.Poor.
Don't know enough about him, myself. I've always favoured video technology, since there has been an instant replay system available [for donkey's years] to help judge dubious decisions, which would help take the bed ref element out of the equation.
Can't check still getting home from brum( traffic is terrible and no i'm not driving lol). Can just about use this site but takes time to load. If he isn't who is?.
The problem with Prem refs is that they are used to non contact football with primo donnas rolling around if anyone tackles them properly!
Think you're all being a bit harsh. The first was pretty reckless, and the second one was quite unnecessary. Calm down.
I agree a lot of decisions were poor today but I would say the snow will have hampered his sight. At times I could not see what was going on watching on the box. Referees are as affected by the conditions as the players ( I'm not a ref by the way )
This. There was NOTHING wrong with the tackle. If there was then why would anyone bother playing the game? If anyone should have been sent off it should have been Caldwell. I know he wasn't the last man but it was so cynical and if it had been on the half way line he would have been sent off!
Some people and some refs have never played the game,so they don't understand the game. There is NOTHING wrong with these type of tackles,I've done them like that and even worse and I never got booked or sent off,the opposition never complained either.Football is a combative sport...it used to be.
