I appreciate your response. It makes total sense. I'd just like us to win a few of the six pointers as I genuinely feel it will be required to get an auto place. I accept drawing the 4 away games against our big rivals individually sounds great but if we draw those games, our rivals will be winning around us and I can promise we will not walk the park against every other team to make up the points. (Bristol City a good example). We need to knock a few teams out of their stride and I think were perfectly capable of doing that. I'd rather beat West Ham and Boro then draw at home to Reading and Burnley as it will put us in a much stronger position come the end of the season.
A draw away against a rival (whilst not the ideal result) means they have dropped two points at home. We must pick up our home form and all will be well.
If we win against West Ham I reckon we'll be well on target for the title. Birmingham, along with West Ham, will be our main promotion rivals. Cardiff, in my opinion, will drop off the pace. Who'd a thunk it eh!! COYS
Can I just add - the table will fluctuate until the end of the season. The way some fixtures are timed, e.g. a tough away game for us and an easy home game for West Ham. We just need to keep performing and grinding out results, and hopefully that'll see us up.
Weve got two good points from our last games, our good first half has ensured that were not in a position where we need to real in the automatic places so ticking along and takin points of the contenders and beating the others should be enough, especially as none of the competition seems able to keep a good run of form going long enough to knock us out of the autos. That said we NEED to beat Burnley.
Yes, although I've got no idea when it would be moved to. We have the following Tuesday free (21st), so it might just be moved to then should we beat Millwall.
