In truth, not feeling terribly positive but there are some encouragements from yesterday.

    1) SWP - great assist for our goal. Slightly helps to balance out some other errors.

    2) Zamora - very good goal with left foot. Was much better than could see from my angle. Powerful and accurate. Even without Cisse, our striking power is still much greater than previously.

    3) All new signings see solid and talented. Increased my faith in Hughes since Bassong looks like he was plan B when compared to either Taiwo or Onuoha.

    4) Cisse is skillful and canny. His dummy on Stearman was class and led to a great cross but sadly no one there to convert. Can't recall another QPR player, apart from Adel, demonstrating that sort of guile for a long time. No need to mention the red - already covered.

    5) We all said that a fully fired up Adel woud be like a new signing. Had he come in as a new signing two weeks ago and played as he played yesterday, we would all be raving about it from the rooftops. Nearly won the damn thing by himself!

    6) We are not done yet. If Diakite is as good as Hughes' other signings, the mid field will look considerably stronger than it did yesterday.

    7) For the last 25 mins we outplayed them - hopefully a sign that on a man to man basis, our squad is better quality than some of the teams around us.

There are negatives. I feel you are all well aware of them so no need to list again.

I wish I could say I am quietly confident that we will be okay. I am not. We are in a dogfight. However we have, perhaps, a better than fair chance.

If we do stay up, Wolves are now third on the list of teams that I would wish to give a sound spanking next season along with Chelsea and Norwich (in that order).

i hope you are right - so gutted at the moment - fed up of these match changing decesions going against us and going from a strong winning position to being hamstrung.

Richard, I think hope is all we can do. The other sad thing is that Barton was about 2 seconds (or less) away from preventing the red. Cisse's first push was a yellow and Barton was walking towards him as he grabbed the guy's chin (not throat). Perhaps all the players, but the captain especially, ought to be quicker to cover each others backs in that way. Not blaming Barton - that would be daft - but he might have prevented it if he was quicker to clam Cisse down.
