Having watched the highlights last night, City cannot have any complaints about the two red cards. The first red, Wilson blatantly shoves McCormack in the back when he is clear in on goal. The second, and bearing in mind, had already been booked, Bolasie sent Smith on flying lessons, elaborately throwing himself to the ground in the process to try and escape punishment.

It matters not if the first yellow was for sneezing, it's the second that results in a red, so Bolasie shouldn't have been so reckless.

I was watching it head on and from this angle Wilson definitely got a foot to the ball, it was this and not the force of the coming together that stopped McCormack but friom the back, it looked like a shove and as last man, that's why he got sent off.

As for Bolaise, there was a tug on the shirt but the player broke free, the rest looked like a tangle of legs to me

Lan, if you're ALREADY ON A YELLOW, and you commit that kinda foul, it can only be a red

as a neutral here, 1st red look a red as last man. 2nd red - didnt show 1st yellow but 2nd yellow looked harsh to me. a final warning would of been best course of action.

The first one was definitely a straight red, I can't comment on Bolasie's first yellow but hos 2nd certainly was one and it was a ridiculous thing to be doing if you're already on a yellow.

Lan, if you have already been booked, fairly or unfairly, and then commit a stupid / reckless foul, he had to go. If you get booked, you have to be careful...

You are factually correct but if the first one was an unjustified booking was the point....

It would have been far, far, worse if the second yellow was not justified, as he already knew he was treading a fine line...

If you're on a yellow then commit a definite yellow card tackle to get sent off you can't then complain that it was unfair because of the first yellow, it's your own fault.
