We have an Argentina international, Angeleri.....

I'd play Jonas left back, as he's got stamina to burn, tracks back well and has unreliable end product.

Him and McLean would be tasty.

I notice only the usual belt of 'Toon is the universe' Mags are giving it the '9 points, so we're universally better' line.

The decent ones make no reference.

    The world keeps turning...

I'm giving it no reference. I know you are doing well and I think O'Neill is a great manager.

Don't really care what you lot do tbh, as long as Newcastle do well. They are all I care about

    Ah no bother mate.

I know some fans talk as though we are a lot better than you and some Sunderland fans will say they are better than us, but at the end of the day - it good to see both teams doing well and upsetting the Sky Sports pundits :emoticon-0148-yes:

    Aye, and long overdue.

We're pretty ****ing even, if we're all honest, you have some better, we have some better, you probs shade first 11, we have a bit more depth.

We need a win at SJP to have a hope of catching you, and I won't be making ANY prediction on that one (even though I already KNOW the result...)

We are both doing very well. I can't actually remember the last time this was the case. I don't understand why some can't mutually enjoy it.

Jonas is a great team player . When McClean gets over his early promise and does it week in week out, plays in World Cups, as Jonas has, then come back and compare them.

So, on that basis, anyone from the Zambia team of 1978 would be a pretty tasty footballer then?

Maybe you guys wanna sign a couple of players from the wonderfully talented Greece 2010 team? They played in a world cup, they must be ****ing awesome.

    What a ****ing ridiculous point.

Argentina are no Zambia or Greece. The point I was trying to make is that he's played at the very top for years and is not a one season wonder.

But, your saying that due to that we can't compare a player who has arguably been in the top few in the league?

McLean is a current Premier League footballer, so comparing him to another current Premier League footballer is standard.

Yes, Jonas has been around a while, but then, Paul Robinson, the clumsy, hopeless Bolton defender, has been around, playing top level football, longer than Lionel Messi.

As said, I do like Jonas, he's a good player.

Very true, if you're not at the game you don't see the full picture. A lot more to Jonas's game than people seem to see. The fact that he often pulls three players out of position when he goes on one of his runs opens gaps for his team mates to take up and get into potential scoring positions.

Right here, right now? I would choose McClean. He is a hot prospect who will get better and better. Jonas is a good player and when on form probably better BUT he has been off form for a while. The 2 of them down the same side would be the strongest left side in the league though (Jonas at LB)

Both good players, I'd say McClean has the potential to be better but I don't watch Gutierrez week in week out.

Having said that whenever I watch the Mags Gutierrez spends most of the match on his arse.
