I presume from your OP, you are upset with some of the comments of the Sunderland supporters.

Get a ****ing grip, this is the internet, people will slag our club off, day after ****ing day, all that matters is the Stoke members opinions on this site.

 

Sunderland fans have to be the biggest cry babies in the prem. It's no wonder the Geordies can't stick them. Last season when we beat them we had that tool blackcatstumper crying on our boards for months after and even on here yesterday. To be honest I can rub along and have the banter with most other sides fans as after all like Potts rightly states it's only a game and there are more serious issues in life than football. But these fans really get up my nose with their constant belly aching. They got the victory and did the double over us this season that should be enough but no they have to keep harping on and posting crap on our boards. Meyler is a cheat as TP rightly states he stayed down as if he had been hit by a bus and was looking back to see if Huth had been red carded. He then miraculously sprung to his feet and carried on as if nothing had happened. Huth should never have dived in like that granted but today part of the game of football is to get players sent off so well done Meyler you played your part well!. Incidentally had we stayed at 11 each it would have been another boring score draw as both sides were poor in my opinion. Now I'm off to get a box of tissues to mail up to Geordie land for the cry babies up there!

From what I did yesterday truth be told I didn't even notice (at first) it was Huth and Meyler involved.. two thirds back in the Boothen, miles away and I KNOW you sit close to where this happened.

What i didn't like was how the guy just got up and carried on, it was obvious I've just seen MOTD 2 and he Meyler does grab his left knee and look across. I WISH makem's Rule would post a video of the whole inccident. NOT just the slide by Huth. Which I think was stupid by the way, given the conditions.

Pretty well agree with all of what you are saying there Waddo. Mackem's are usually OK fans.. but what happened yesterday and since is sad IMHO.
They have their banter with the guys "up the road from them" fair enough but what some of them have called OUR club, basically haing a go at as a whole at our players is not right. That saddens me. Might even consider leaving this site at the end of the season.

 

Potts that's funny really because today as I was chopping up wood for my log burner I was thinking about all this carp on here and pretty much came to the same conclusion as you "why do I bother"
There are some real good level headed posters on here and some informative threads too and it does give you a sense of community, but every now and then an incident will occur and you will get the idiots from opposing clubs all over our boards like a cankerous disease just like the mackems were yesterday and today. I just pop in every now and then to catch up on what's going on but as a lifelong Stokie I find it hard not to defend my club.
Trouble is today there are too many idiots that sit at their computers spouting crap that probably never even go to a game. Yesterday was the coldest ever I have been at the Brit, the snow blowing in block 10 in our faces and eyes and my 10 year old daughter close to tears as she was that cold. Then you come on here and listen to toss pots that never even went the game spouting drivel. Anyhow mate I don't let them bring me down and it is only a game and football will always have talking points that both sets of fans will never agree on. A good debate I can deal with but name calling and personal insults just lowers the tone and shows the poster up as being of low intellect.

Thanks for those comments.. I feel like I know most of the posters on here.. stupid thing is Waddo. Like you said, we could be anyone and you kind of get a feeling of ONE fan just by the way he writes and comments on games. I HAVE to defend Stoke Waddo but not T.P. to some extent I will and I used to without question. Not so much now because I too sat there yesterday and only once can I remember being that cold. A reserve game at the Brit v Sheff Utd same night I met Neil Warnock.

Honest oppinion mate.. I thought that after about a half hour.. the ref is going to call this game off. Far too many left early but me being a stubborn ole son of a gun didn't. Now I bloody ache all over and most probably will end up with the flu or worst
Some great posters on this board but some really sick fans.. when they feel they have to call us cavemen, our player's thugs bla bla.. NOT so long ago Sunderland fans we're bricking it literally. I read their board quite often and MON has done wonders, so far. But just because Huth goes flying in wrong IMHO all hell let's loose.
Really can not be bothered Waddo.. but yup will have to meet for a pt or three before too long. I keep telling Cris I will meet him for a bevvy but due to the snow yesterday, I never made it.

Waddo and Potts, agree with you both - nothing new there then!!

What was fun, is now becoming a bit of a chore, cannot stand all of the personal abuse and general atmosphere on this board any more.

I know that I have caused my fair share of aggravation on here, mostly done just to raise a laugh, but nowadays, all I do is complain about Pulis and I am NOT a negative moaning minnie of a person (I think Potts knows this).

Anyway I think that my latest incarnation as the Portuguese Pulis will be my last - life's too short eh!

 

I am not surprised at the response from Sunderland fans - Pulis's disrespect of Meyler by pretending he didn't know his name was disgraceful. Whatever Pulis thought of the red card, whatever the stoke fans thought of it Meyler has just come back from serious injury and if he hadn't jumped he would be back on the table. I had had time for stoke and pulis before this, for heavens sake half of your team were respected sunderland players at one stage, but I can't forgive his outbreak - clearly Meyler was not faking to get Huth sent off, the ref had his card out of his pocket almost before Meyler hit the ground. Pulis should be ashamed for defaming a young up and coming player as he did, there is no excuse.

 

There is only one person stoking the fire in all this. Pulis. Seems to me he's trying to cover his short comings by blaming one of ours of cheating.
I honestly can't wait for the appeal outcome.

Good luck for the rest of the season - I honestly think that your club deserves a better manager than the one you currently have (you might disagree about him I realise) and I hope by the time we meet up next year this is all water under the bridge for everyone.

 

No worries mate. I've always been a bit of a Pulis fan, but I'm starting to get increasingly frustrated with him! Although not many managers who I'd like to see come to Stoke spring to mind, apart from O'Neil. We have a record for taking players off your hands, maybe next time it'll be the manager!
