Good game, good win, good 3 points in the bag. The whole team played well and not just as individuals, they played as a team and they all looked great.

Perch and Simmo have had a few knockers lately but hopefully after today people will cut them a bit of slack, they both pulled their weight and looked good. Don't know why Ober is coming in for flack either, he had a decent game and looked dangerous when we were going forward. A good entertaining game with 11 stars.

Delighted with the win - just about deserved it on balance.

I think we forced them back in the 2nd half and any tactical change from Villa was ineffective.

Shame. I assume its over the whole cross board problem with GC. Anyway, great win for you guys today. Looks like it will be a battle between Newcastle,Liverpool,Chelsea and us for 4th.

 

Where did everyone go. I'm not going anywhere because I go on the racing forum as well but it would be nice to know where they've gone

 

Simmo didn't impress me today. But agreed with the rest. I think Simmo can potentially become a great player for us and I've always defended him in the past. I definitely want him today stay rather than Clyne coming in to replace. Not to say Nathan Clyne wouldn't be a good player but I would say his judgement wouldn't be as great as Simmo's. Simmo's positioning is pretty 50/50 and is sometimes exactly where he needs to be an others miles away. But that comes with experience, and he deserves his chance. And it would seem more back to the drawing board with quite a few we've been linked with, such as my example, so I'd much much much rather keep Simmo more than most who we'd be in for, unless it was a surprisingly top class move. He was still average today IMO.

Just rewatching the game. Can I mention just how immense Guthrie was. Skillful as **** that lad. Never knew he had it in him, he has really turned my opinion of him around since the kicking the ground conceded goal against WBA last year
