It's not the tackle as you well know. Yellow at worst.
What grips my **** is your ****ing cock of a manager calling Meyler a cheat. No contact!!! **** off.
And just so you know. The red was out before Meyler hit the deck.

He slid in recklessly (typical Huth)
He caught the player with his knee (fact)
Sliding tackles where the player is off the ground are not allowed.

Now tell me its not a red card!!! Great refereeing decision.
I am sure if it had been the other way round, Pullis would not be coming out in defence of the Sunderland player, as he a total f*cking bellend!!!

If Pulis was one of your pets you'd be done by the RSPCA for keeping him alive.

He quite clearly has rabies.

Stolen from Roker report.

Pulis on Wenger branding Shawcross a senseless thug: “He’s can’t comment on my players. He doesn’t know what my players are made of or are about.”

Pulis on Meyler : “But when you see him doing that, the referee might have reacted a little differently today if the kid had got up and been honest about the challenge.”

Simple as that.

Don't know if this has been posted before. Its from the Daily Express editorial.

"Tony pulis was livid about Robert Huths red card and it is absolutely his perogative to challenge Martin atkinsons decision. Whether he is right to do so is highly debatable regardless of Huths attempt to withdraw at the last moment.

He still careered into David Meylers right leg AFTER the Sunderland man had played the ball. It was enough to tip Meyler up and then crash down again. But no matter.

What cannot be right is for pulis to then suggest that Meyler had cheated, that he had exaggerated the impact and feigned injury.

Rather than look at Huths eight yard slide that had left Meyler no where to go (but up and over) he deflected his sides inadequacies with a savage rant at a 22 year old whose right leg - the same leg that Huth clattered into- has twice been rebuilt after career threatening knee injuries.

Who is the bad guy here? Huth? Meyler? No. Tony Pulis"

Says it all really

To be fair most of the Stoke lads have been embarassed by Pulis calling Meyler a cheat (which has always been the issue to most of the Sunderland lads) so I would hope that we can seperate the decent Stoke lads who support one of the oldest clubs in the world (2nd oldest maybe?) from their current manager's actions... which are become legion throughout the Premier league it seems.

On Pulis's behavior - surely there must be some sanctions that can be levied for him getting the groundsmen to only clear one goalmouth of snow? I mean that sort of behaviour shouldn't be allowed to continue...and the irony in him calling Myler a cheat after doing that is staggering in its effrontery. I would hope the PFA also have some strong views about one of their members being called a cheat on TV like that too.

And before anyone from Stoke complains about this continuing to be discussed - the thread is on both boards; if you cannot bear to read it I suggest you don't open the thread again or ask your Mod to have it removed from your board. And yes we do take it personally to have one of our own labelled a cheat and we'll damn well keep on discussing it if we want to.

I have a lot of respect for the vast majority of Stoke fans, and they do have some cracking contributers to the not606 forum.

Looking at that GIF, the fact Huth pulled out looks to be the reason he caught Meyler that high (Clash of knees)

In hindsight, it may not have been as bad a challenge if he'd just left his leg flat.

Even then, that's just a mistimed challenge, never a red.

According to Pulis the feigning of injury is a disease which is creeping into football. I would suggest if there is a disease in football it's Pulis and Stoke ****ty.
They are to football what Brady and Hindley were to baby sitting.<whistle>

I think it was yellow, but the problem I have is your manager calling our players cheats. I mean coming from Stoke that's insane. He say's Huth never touched him, then sends a photo into MOTD showing Huth catching Meyler....Thick cnut.

Pullis has built his team at Stoke to cheat to get points, they have for a few years. Ask other football fans "Who are the biggest cheats in the PL" and 80-90% will say Stoke.

:emoticon-0119-puke:Stoke City boss Tony Pulis has urged Professional Footballers' Association chief executive Gordon Taylor to crack down on what he sees as play-acting.
Pulis accused David Meyler of trying to get Robert Huth sent off in Saturday's 1-0 Premier League loss to Sunderland.

"It is something I think Gordon Taylor and the PFA should really get to grips with," said the Stoke manager.

"The disappointing thing for me is - and it's become more ingrained in the game - is the reaction of the player."

Pulis suggested that he would appeal Huth's dismissal at a snowy Britannia Stadium, which came on the brink of half-time, with the game still poised at 0-0.

Use accessible player and disable flyout menus

Sunderland went on to secure the three points through James McClean's second-half strike.

"Robert slides in but actually doesn't touch the player," added Pulis.

"I think it's a disease that's coming into the game where players roll around and they're looking to see if they can get people booked or sent off.

"The game is difficult enough for the referees because of the pace and tempo at which it is played.

"Then you get situations when players are falling around and rolling around when they have not even been touched.
"Really and truthfully the player is trying to get the player sent off."

In contrast, Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill said he was not surprised to see Huth dismissed.

"I haven't seen it back," said O'Neill. "But my initial view was that I thought it looked as if it was going to be a red card.

"Given the new directives that the referees have been given, I thought it looked that way. But I'm sure Tony will probably disagree."
