I understand don fabio's statement contravenes the terms of his employment with the FA and as such he may lose part of his final payout. Couldn't happen to a nicer ineffectual chap

    Ciao !

but Im convinced his massive twattitude along with some others is the reason why we never win anything. Its impossible to play as a team when 50% of them are complete arseholes. Its a reason why id never sign players like Barton.

Let's hope. England's chances have gone down the plug hole now that Fabio has graced the world with his startling insight that he does not agree with the FA. Or Rio or any of the other black players who have courageously spoken up in defence of Anton Ferdinand. Anton is the victim in all this not that chav John Terry. I'm all for not prejudicing the trial and waiting for the court to hear all the evidence. But does that really mean we all have to show our support for Terry until then. No. of course it does not. Would that not be pre-judging the matter the other way? Why should Anton Ferdinand suffer from threats to himself and his family while we agonise over whether it is right to suspend Terry's captaincy of England until justice has been done. He is very quick to get his publicity army to proclaim his innocence. Does that not prejudice a fair trial of the issues? Pity that he cannot do so to condemn the treatment of a man he claims to be his friend.

Over 20 years ago I took a job largely because it was in Italy and the World Cup was coming up there. Following one of the most unloved teams and most ridiculed managers to the semis was one of the best and most emotional experiences sport has ever given me. And Italy was good enough for me to hang around for over 4 years.
No way would I invest anything but a passing curiosity in the current England team, international football just makes me angry, our level of continual underachievement a self fulfilling prophecy, hopefully the last world cup will teach us all that expectations should be rock bottom. The dressing room will always be toxic, but the main problem is that modern English footballers are selfish, stupid and spoilt. Rant over.

Hey! Was there too, spent over 20 years working there, Italy used to be a wonderful place, sadly not any more. Capello was never a great player, an Italian Andy Carroll at best. Was the only person in the bar not supporting Cameroon!

Edit: Capello has previous for those who understand Italian: http://www.corriere.it/Primo_Piano/Esteri/2006/02_Febbraio/09/capello.shtml

Very well put and that is an excellent image.
Capello has lost any morsel of credibility he had.
Time for him to get the goodbye handshake from the equally pathetic bumbling Masons at the FA Lodge.

Imaz, despite the Berlusconi years, it's still got quite a lot going for it. Lucky enough to get over to Firenze every couple of months for work, and my mates/ colleagues there are arranging a meeting which will coincidentally take place in Milan at the same time as the derby in May. Suspect you won't like this but I was a Milan season ticket holder for 4 years, the great Dutch years, and still have my Brigate Rosso Nero card......still despise.the old crooner though. And I need a few months full immersion for my Italian to get up to speed again.

Hehe, had the dubious fortune to live right there in Via de' Pandolfini to be exact (the parallel to Borgo degli Albizi). My deeply deluded son son is a massive Milan fan! To be honest I can only stand Sicily now, I'm older now and the Italy of my youth in the 70's is long gone but lives on a little down there. Been to many games in the then Stadio Communale, a very beautiful stadium built by the great architect Pier Luigi Nervi. Capello is, and always was, a massive bellend. Four goals in four years at Milan...

He lost his credibility at Real when he spoke out in admiration of Franco. The FA should hang their head in shame at his very appointment.
