He did, but some are showing a disappointing lack of respect for a player we all wish we had a lot more of within the game.

Mass exodus Commachio. Some say because of us becoming too large, some say because of unwanted GC post/pics. Either way numbers are massively down. I like the lads who have left and will probably join at some stage but I enjoy the banter with opposing fans and seeing things from a non B&W perspective. Not that I'm biased................

 

Shame mate....although the lads from gc have battered your board....so the less thick skinned one's seemed to have gone...

Aye. It was lively and there were great posters football wise like Smudger. I get on with lads from GC and if you get past the silly stuff, they seem a sound set of lads. I think Speedgate was to blame myself. Some took their jokes about him personally and complained, everything just spiralled after that. Me I didn't mind the jokes as I got loads sent to me by text and I have no real problem with people laughing at the dead. Jacko/Winehouse they all got the treatment from me. Speed I didn't because he was a bit of legend for me and I met him a couple of times. But I can't laugh one minute and then moan when it doesn't suit.

That would make me wor lass!

I think both board will co exist and there'll be some cross over but it seems likely the other board will be home for most.

 

Back in around 1999 (i think it was around then) when he was getting the odd game and breaking into the team with Given he looked about on a par with the Irishman. Personally i'd say Given is one of the most under-rated players in the past decade of the Premiership, mostly because Newcastle have tended to be mediocre. If Harper had left in 2003 when he wanted to i reckon he could have got first choice for a team in the top half of the Prem. As a result i think he'd have been a shoe-in for some England caps (when Seaman retired we tried almost anyone...), Harper is not a spectacular keeper but he is reliable and i reckon at least as good as keepers like Green and Carson.

I must say that there are quite a few mags i like that come on here , you being near the top, keep it up mate if your board fails you could always become a closet makem lol
