    Now don´t go and flap
    If this week we cap
A good display off with a win,
    It´s bound to be hard
    We know how you guard
Your nest, and don´t let many in,
    Stylish in flight
    You are, and a sight
To behold, once all preening is done,
    But the canny canary
    Is up for the spree
And ready for a share of the fun,
    We´re no match in size
    But more than streetwise
    And continually just peck away,
    And size doesn´t count
    Always, nor amount
Of pressure applied in the play,
    Mr. Rodgers B.
    And our Lambert P.
Both so good at handling birds,
    Will prompt and cajole
    I´m sure, for the whole
    Duration with encouraging words,
    And both of us perch
    High up as we search
For those vital points which this year,
    Will keep us on course
    Despite the gale force
Winds that sometimes hit in this tier,
    Also on view
    Are last season´s two
    High scorers from the Championship,
    Graham D. and Holt
    That sprightly young colt
Who all of us up here worship,
    They´ve both proved they still
    Will pick up their fill
Of goals in this top company,
    And just one behind
    Is Holt, could he find
A leveller here, we shall see,
    But both sides could need
    The Aswan Dam indeed
To help stem the oncoming tide,
    Of attacks, if you
    And we both stay true
To the principles by which we abide,
    So all is in place
    When feathered friends face
Each other in this Liberty fray,
    For a high flying feast
    Between west and east
But who´ll be winged commanders on the day?

    Yours with unflapping optimism,

Hi RBF - how could anyone kind of give up on such an exhilarating flow? Must be a Norwegian failing! ;)

Looking forward to an exciting game which, in all honesty, could go either way! <ok>

    The Canaries think it's smashing,
To receive their annual Liberty thrashing,
But after a result so poor,
    Lambert locks the dressing-room door,
To give his team a good ear-bashing.

    Brilliant RBF.

The Premier League's most easterly team against the Premier League's most westerly team, should be a good game.

Oh I think we´re getting past those
Aswan, as this campaign it grows,
    Not much to complain
    About in the main
For us, or your lot, I´d suppose. ;)

    Hi RBF... game on....

This weekends game is billed as 'Espana v Kraut'
but I tell you this, the yellows will get nowt.
The land of the Celts will prove your very undoing
and leave you running to the toilet, squirting and pooing.
But you need not cry, please don't fret,
just make yourself happy with a Swans win bet!

Come now knackered, why my prose are you checking?

Be a good Swan and reel your neck in :emoticon-0105-wink:

You know this is just a bit of fun fun,

but mark my word, Swansea win 3-1.

This weekend the poor canaries will be at sixes and seven,

feeling their time in the mines was seventh heaven.

Great ditty! Really looking forward to the game, I hope we play as well as we did at home last season (I brought a Norwich fan with me). Every game in this league is the hardest yet and this one especially so!

aswan I assumed that he meant 'nowt' rather than nought. Could be wrong though.

    RBF's a little bird,
    With feathers bright and yellow,
    Slender legs-upon my word,
    He is a pretty fellow!

    Sweetest notes he always sung,
    Which much delighted Delia;
But be careful where you stand,
he has been known to feel ya.

Oh stately Swans, so proud and white,
    glistening in the Liberty light,
show this weekend that it's true,
That Barcelona are based on you.

    Swimaway, good evening sir
Our game´s so fast it´s just a blur,
And while you´re flapping to take off
We might be three ahead (cough, cough),
But once in flight there is no way
    Our little dicky-bird can stay,
    Apace, but when refuelling
As you´ll need to, for duelling,
We´ll soon be back in touch again
As we run miles on each gallon. :)
