who said £20million for the mem wiz? making figures up are we.... maybe you should read this wiz.... 1) Who will own the stadium? The new stadium will be 100% owned by Bristol Rovers (1883) Ltd., just as the current Memorial Stadium is. 2) How will the stadium be paid for? The stadium will be paid for by the sale of the Memorial Stadium to Sainsbury's, a grant from the Football Foundation and the Football Club. This will leave the club debt free and the sole owners of the new stadium. 3) Can you explain the situation with the lease of the land? The land will be leased from UWE on a very long lease, which will be paid up front in the form of a lease premium rather than with an annual premium. http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/page/StadiumRegeneration/0,,10328~2398034,00.html on that note, goodnight and sweet dreams wiz
Bloody hell this is so painful. It really is like explaining something to three year olds. Here's a link for the South Bristol-educated that will explain things: http://www.bristolrovers.co.uk/page/StadiumRegeneration/0,,10328~2398034,00.html We will own 100% of the stadium. It will be funded by the sale of the Mem, a grant from the Football Foundation and by the Rovers. We lease the land for 999 years from UWE. There are no other parties involved in the financing of the project. And the Mem is 100% owned by Bristol Rovers (1883) Ltd. I hope this helps.
You are mising the point,I'm not disputing ownership, the amount you get from sainsburys £20m or £30m,Dunfords support or the lease arrangment. The grant from the football foundation is good I didn't know that,it's the other bit I'm trying to find out about, the money the football club is contributing, that's the current owners and directors and they are in debt,so that money from the football club is going to be financed by loans and guarantees,in other words debt.. Good debate but on that I agree lets finish it for tonight.
But Wiz the 'debt' is exactly the same sort of debt that you notionally owe to Lansdown - ie 'debt' that is realistically never going to be paid back. At least I hope not from 82's point of view as £30million + would sink you instantaneously. And whatever I think about 82, I certainly don't want to see you go out of business and fold.
Have to say reading-swanseas pitches look great, both using the pitch each week for footy and rugger. So Ashton vale will be no different.
1) Who will own the stadium? The new stadium will be 100% owned by Bristol Rovers (1883) Ltd., just as the current Memorial Stadium is..... owned by Geoff Dunfraud.!!! And Wiz they think 3 year olds dont understand. FFS. and if Sainsburys get planning permission to build on the Mem, shiny will eat **** in a Rovers shirt on the opening day of your new stadium!!!
I do believe you are right MDG - but I don't know what it is.... Rugby at AG? Lease cancelled at the Mem? SL buying Rovers and abandoning City? One thing, I can't see SL being happy about paying rent to Dung-Fjord for very long, so something will give - maybe a super-stadium with all 3 clubs playing????? Something is afoot - and I think some fans will be left very very sad indeed.......
Hi banksy, never bet with a betting man. SL loves the Gas. On your own website. http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~841021,00.html
if the lland is leased dont the company that gave out the lease own the ground . doubt sainsburys will be allowed to get plannig permission for the mem as i believe the one in filton is too close
rovers will own the stadium and it will be on uwes land. we will buy the lease for a life time which is 999 years. therefore the land is ours for 999 years.
all goes down to sainsburys getting planning permission. if not then may have to redevelope them mem. good thing is, lansdown is on board and could pay towards it lansdown is a gashead please log in to view this image
