cracks started to appear in the walls, the paint started to peel, several windows were broken and tiles were falling of the roof would you say

"don't worry about it chaps. Just think we used to live in a cave and that lot down the road live in a hole in the ground".

No you would get off your arse and fix things.

That is what Nigel and our coaching staff need to do.

We could also move to another house (but not an option for a football fan).

Crikey Godders I did not have you down for that kind of response. What happened to the coat?? So we're out of the Cup...well sue me but I don't really care that much. Nobody said this promotion lark would be easy, but Nigel and the boys pulled it off last year, and they can do it again. All aboard.

It's true that most businesses can only dream of getting the sort of loyalty from their customers that football clubs get from their fans. doesn't seem to stop most of em treating their fans like sh!t though.

Not at all compareable st godders.

firstly you would need the money to fix it. in this case saints have and taken great steps then to fix it

so we have worked hard to try and fix it but that doesnt mean to say our house can compete with properties around us. Ours is (better than a cave) but not as good as a stately home (in this case rivals west ham, blackpool, birmingham - were all premier league last year whilst we were in league one)

too many other factors - luck, refereeing decisions, injuries etc

Well Godders, I would suggest that you didn't look close enough at the house in the first place. Maybe you had a quick glance around during the first few months of being at the house when the paint still looked attractive and glossy and all the tiles were in place. Maybe you thought the house was actually turning out better than you had hoped.

Perhaps all your friends drove passed in their nice cars or called in for a quick drink and said how lovely your house was; perhaps the lovely Mrs Godders made the house looked better and brighter than it was and made it's performance look better than reality.

Maybe when you bought that house, you thought that it would last you for a good few years. Do the cracks in the walls, the peeling paint and the few missing tiles really mean your house isn't going to last you, or isn't the house you'd hoped for?

Maybe this house will still be okay and the small current failings are just under the surface but the foundations and brickwork are bloody solid and will keep you dry for a while yet!!

    maybe.

Lee, Sharp, Puncheon, Falque - it's not like we've been sitting on our arse. There was also th carryon with Hooper and interest in others. Now there's the loan window if we want to use it.

    Work in progress Godders,
Rome wasn't built in a day and just like a good relationship cracks will always appear and hopefully get fixed. Premier things in life take time to acquire.

You've already over achieved big time this year. It's just that things are now catching up with you and righting themselves.

    Another trophyless year.

Was down at the Gasworks for a firms do the other week. Is that quaint silverpot the 'Ted Bates trophy' in a little glass cabinet it? Or do you have an honours room like down the road?

    Sundeck being the word.

We are a fair weather team we like playing our silky stuff from August to whenever we get a cold snap then the team turns into a group of non battlers who lose away to sides like Doncaster when its bloody cold.
