This is the main reason I've been getting frustrated with him. The majority of the time I can understand our tactics and squad selection, but all this moaning all of a sudden is doing my head in. I know in the transfer window we looked at getting Ridgewell for LB, and that didn't work out, but as you rightly say, he knew the situation, and there's no reason for him to make such a big deal.

    Your point?

Kitson was never given an opportunity play through his form and had I invested 5.5 million and 40K a week I would have wanted to work with him, not leave him as back up for Sidibe who "works ard and is a smashin lad" - Yes Bossssssssss!

Beattie was an inspiration and without his goals we would have been relegated! TP wouldn't let him sign for 3 premier clubs and forced him to Rangers all because the manager showed utmost proffesionalism by the infamous naked flying headbutt - how I love the process of gaining respect rather than demanding it because I'm the boss! He is at Sheffield United and fukin good luck to him!

Tunny was ruined from the start and whilst I agree with PP's commenst (to a certain degree) I do feel that with a good run in the team and allowed to play in his natural position he would have been a great squad player! Forced to watch donkey Sidibie, and the stroppy Fuller etc give us no goals and belittled by his manager, not played for the best part of 18 months what would you expect! He went to Wolfsburg and Mclaren was immediatley sacked so didnt even get a run there - hardly a fair judgement IMO!

Lawrence was a key player in our promotion and considering that about half a dozen other players have contract for life because they were here in the beginning why shoiuld lawrence be any different! Although lacking in pace he could play the wing and was a positive forward player (Ahh there is the problem) who chipped in with goals more than the rest of our mid put together will offer us now! More important like Beattie and Tunny he had passion!

So, 4 potential players who TP victimised at the expence of Coates's cheque book!

My question is (Since you promted it) is where would Delap, Sidibie, Diao and all the rest of the crap be if TP was personally bank rolling thier lives for them! Championship? Maybe! Div 1? Probably! So how is it fair to assume that the others deserved to be treated like **** because in your opinion they are of lower quality then the **** we have today?

    Smither's <ok>

This is why I dislike the way Tony Pulis thinks or does not think! ALL were postive player's. ALL of them IMO would be better than Delap, Diao and Mama.
ALL those 3 are STILL here and WHAT exactly do they contribute to the "Team" Joe?
Not that much, in fact Buggar all in my oppinion. Delap, Diao I am 100 per cent CERTAIN would NOT get into ANY of the current Premier League Midfied teams.
That say's it all for me. No wonder our midfield is non existant.

I`m not making excuses for Delap Diao or Mama,in fact,to be fair,Mama hasn`t played for the best part of 2 seasons, and to the clubs credit they haven`t abandoned a man who has had very serious injuries. Diao has always been s---e and Delap is definately past his `sell-by` date, but the 4 players you mentioned have all left the club and done nothing,so tactically I feel we`ve lost nothing by their departure.I agree that I was gutted when Tuncay left but I remember either on this forum or 606 some fans were comparing him to Greenhoff and Hudson as one of the best players to have played for us!!!! I would also like to say that I don`t like our current tactics and that`s down to the manager, but the only posters on here are anti Pulis so I don`t bother like I used to . Potts I know how disillusioned you feel, becauseI feel the same,in fact I`ll be greatly surprised if we aren`t in arelegation battle because frankly I can`t see where the next goal is coming from, but like you`ve always said KTF!!

    Fair enough comments matie <ok>
Of course we're all brassed off, not won a home game since I can't remember, Spurs? and that was lucky to say the least. But, we did play well IMO.
I just think thet "if we had kept Tuncay things as we thought at one point" would bring us up to standard. It was not to be and IF Pulis does not like you.

It's curtains I think.. didn't mean to single out Mama, really sorry he's not playing or can not play. But, Tony still persists in nameing Mama in the 25.
But, as one Stokie did say. " 24 + Mama is better than 24 player's <ok>

Not sure about being drawn into relegation just yet.. big games v Swansea and Norwich by which time. I hope Ether's Pennant and Co are ALL fit and of course
picked to PLAY... we are much better with than without them Joe.

Chin up fella, KTF and I reakon Four wins might be enough = 42pts to stay up this season. <ok> If we can't reach and beat that from where we are.
We deserved to go down... but we won't of course. Tony has never been relegated.

Mornin` Potts, still having trouble sleeping I see!! It`s an age thing you know, I was awake at 04.20 and couldn`t get back to sleep,I wouldn`t mind but i didn`t get to bed til 01.00 a.m.!! Agree about Tuncay and there have been lots of other bad decisions as well--Demba Ba, letting Marshall go and has been stated many times useless signings like Davies,Soares ,Tonge,Arismendi,Collins,Woodgate and Jones for starters . Personally I think Swansea will turn us over, they`ll be too quick around our box especially now that either Upson or Woodgate will be in the middle with Shawcross ( who in my opinion is going backwards in progress) and as I said before I can`t see where our next goal is coming from. Anyway glad to see you have become positive again after all the hate mail from Sunderland fans over the weekend.:-D

Smithers and Potts, point taken about Delap and co, as I've said before, I think Delap is ok staying, so long as he doesn't start virtually every match, he should be on the bench until Palacios is has cemented his place in the squad with M. Wilson or possibly Whelan, then we can think of letting Rory move on and improving on him.
I'm not sure what exactly it would entail, but Salif resigned to have an ambassador/ coaching role, because he's such "a great guy to have around", if that's what they want him doing, that's where he should be, not in the 25 man squad.
And Sidibie, (as with all my points so far, it's all just speculation on my part, and I could be totally wrong) I think the only reason he's still here, is because he's under contract, and been because of injuries, no one else has come in for him. I'm pretty sure if we had another striker, he would have been in the squad over Mama. Don't know what he's got left on his contract, but I would be surprised if he got a renewal. Who knows, he might get a run at Crawley and attract some attention. . .

So all in all, I think Mama was quite probably on the exit list with Kitson et al, but their disagreements pushed them out of the club quicker, where as I think the management would want to do "what's right" by players like Sidibie, rather than getting rid at all costs, like the "troublemakers".
