    The hand to the throat was a three. A shove would have been only one, but still a red.

    Cisse has to let the referee (and his Manager) sort it out for him. Walk away. Even if it is tough to do because your brain is screaming at you that another player tried to break your legs again.

    Agree he should walk away but to be fair when you look at the video he holds him under his chin which is very different to a grab around the throat / windpipe area. If you compare it to Drogba on Taraabt earlier in season there is no comparison yet they are treated the same. I accept the red but there are degrees and 1 match would appear more sensible and reflect the crime.

    If you look again, first he held him under the chin, then he put his hand on the throat.
    You are right, a red and one match ban would have been plenty for the offence.
