Agreed Bex. Impressive. Think they said 9 home town players on the pitch.

Thought the better team won without getting out of 2nd gear

Impressed with the 9 local lads from the boro acadamy, well done to them

Gotta love the skunk, jumping in like a two footed smoggy supporter accusing the invaders of being Mackem's without one shred of evidence.

I was at the match (went with my smoggy mates as I live 10 mins south of Boro.) I was under the impression the it was two Boro fans that ran on (they definitely came out of the boro end.) It was really bizarre because one of the lads 2 footed hoyte but the other started mouthing of at one of the sunderland players (the ginger one in midfield.)

On the telly they seemed to think that the twat slipped on the grass and skidded in Hoyte accidentally.

We all saw them come from the Smoggies area mate, apart from one JonnyAiston there's only one JonnyAiston! (Thank feck)

Like WWY I thought he slipped into the Boro lad.

Where abouts were you sat in your end? I was right at the top of the south east corner, surprisingly good atmosphere from the boro fans.

Lazy TV waller me bonny lad.

They showed it a few times, from start to finish.
If they had been Mackem's they would have been lynched by our own, as Gardner was just winding up for another pearler.

Didn't they field an academy XI against Fulham in the PL a few years back.

No doubting that Badgers Assemble, but for all the good the academy does, it hasn't exactly done that much for the Middlesbrough Football Club.

And when you look at where these players actually come from, it is throughout the entire NE, heck isn't Rhys Williams Australian? The amount of PL players that come from the NE is a massive percentage when you think about it. So really its still the NE teams that are losing out.
