A variation of this thread keeps cropping up and it's getting boring. If we put as much effort into supporting our boys as we did wanting pompey to go pop then we would sell out SMS every week. Pompey will not go out of business as Chanrai has too much money to lose so he wont let it happen. There for the points discussion is meaningless. We want to be promoted on our own terms and not through handouts. I will honestly say i would be on the p*ss for a week straight if they collapsed......but it wont happen.

Pompey meeting HMRC today with support from MP Mordaunt. Tax bill up to £1.9m, players not being paid, debts all over the place, it's hard to see how they could continue without at least going into administration and without making a lot of people angry. Surely time to call it a day and try to resurrect the club from whatever is left.
I thought it was against the law to run whilst insolvent. Even if we had folded, there was enough assets to pay the debts, so no one was taking risks giving us leeway.
I feel sorry for the fans I wouldnt wish it on anyone. HOWEVER how on earth will pompey not get a points deduction, if they claim they arn't linked to their parent company they should have a look at the last time they could actually pay the wages. I'm sure we always managed to pay our wages when we into admin.
I still think we/Cortese should bail em out. £1.9 mil is good value rescuing them whilst messing with their (fish)heads
Cortese would never invest in anything that isn't financially viable. That also works out at about £70+ for each of us...I'd rather have a good night out.
They'll get away with it and do points deduction! Can't believe HMRC would even consider giving them more time!
