Well you've still got Blackpool, Birmingham, Burnley and Middlesbrough to play, so you can take your pick from them. ;)

we stay over at a guest house in Bristol about 30 minues walk from the ground when we play down there. Last season we walked our regular route and on the way, some random bloke in the street looked straight at one of my mates with a hand loosely over his eyes and jokingly said: "Oh no. That shirt!". He was laughing as he waked past but turning to look at him as he'd past, he was stood clapping his hands. We acknowledged his respect by returning the compliment. Apart from the obvious surreal site this presented, what a group of prats we all must have looked!

Coincidentally that's what most of us say when we see this year's shirt.

It was a great day out and it's nice to have a moment of shared history as our clubs faced the fork in the road. If it had been us I wouldn't have held out much hope for us getting a second bite of the apple like you lot managed.

So what was the Prem like? Did it smell different to the Championship? I imagine it's quite citrus-y.

It tasted like a lethal dose of poison, but a dose We would take again and again without a moments thought.

I too remember the Bristol lads being friendly and gracious in defeat.

I chatted to a few when we got back to the hotel bar after the game, though I can't remember what was said really as I was pissed as a fart.

Then in walked Dion Dublin & Don Goodman, similarly pissed as farts.

I had to go to bed not long after that, dead on my feet. And pissed.

it was full of facepaint, tiger suits, plastic fans who were more interested in seeing Steve Gerrard and The Emirates than our own, primadonna players and boring unentertaining football. Given the choice, I would take the Wembley experience every year with the financial benefits it provides. But I would decline promotion to remain in 'the best league in the world'. I dare to dream!!!

I sincerely hope Bristol City get the opportunity to play in the PL some time soon. Magical day never everv to be forgotten.

Was on the tube well after the game after sinking a few beers at the pub (The Torch) near Wembley and the carriage back to Watford where we were staying for the weekend had a fair few Bristol City supporters on it - didn't know what to say to them - either way it would have come across as being crass. They were dejected, we were silent in disbelief that we had finally got ot the top table.

For me I want more of the PL - the NPC is a much more honest league but you strive to get to the highest level of the game - thats what its all about. Next time and for me I hope that is soon (getting too old to hang about) as a Club we will almost certainly take a different approach ala Norwich Swansea are doing.

As for tomorrow, for those Bristol lads and lasses that make the long journey up to Hull - enjoy the day.

To be honest, it was never meant to be Bristol's day. The whole season was just set up for us to get into the top flight via Wembley (remember we'd never been to either). The whole Windass thing of him leaving reluctantly 15 years beforehand, returning with unfinished business, keeping us up one year and sending us to the PL the next. It was all one big fairy tale for Hull City, like everyone else I appreciated how good the Bristol City fans were and I'm sure you lot will have a similar story at some point, when it's your turn.

It depends, obviously you get beat more often but in my opinion the football is so much better. More and more games in this division are just spoilt by negative teams who do nothing but defend (the likes of Watford, Palace and Derby) in the PL it's becoming increasingly popular to play good, attacking football even if you're a promoted side (Swansea, Blackpool, Norwich). There are certainly some mercenaries and some horrible players but no more than in the NPC in my opinion, and it's worth it for the much more entertaining football.

When it's going well it's amazing, when you're losing it's not so good. But in all honesty I found last season finishing mid-table in the NPC less enjoyable than the season before when we were relegated from the PL. In that relegation season we still scored goals and got some great results (took4 points from Man City, drew with Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham, and so very nearly got points against Arsenal and Chelsea again) but last season just felt like one big frustrating match where we couldn't create a single chance no matter how long it went on.

The PL is the place to be without question as thats where the big bucks and world wide exposure is at. But the championship is by far the most competative and exciting league around. Just look at what is going on now this season. So many clubs who cans till make the top 2 and indeed even more who can make the top 6 and play offs. In contrast the PL is already a 3 horse race for the title at best maybe just 2.? Then another 4 clubs battling it out for the european places. But in a heart beat i would swap for what Norwich and Swansea have now and what Hull City had in 2008 the first half of the PL voyage. Without a doubt it is the best football fix around. We shall be back soon and bigger - better and stronger to cope under Nicky Barmbys managership. Onwards and Upwards.

I also remember in the early 70's when Bristol City won promotion from the old 2nd div into the 1st div(PL now) and winning @ Arsenal on the opening day. You had a good August if i remember well but then slipped back badly. The days of Chris Garland, Gerry Gow, Ray Cashley(GK) to name just 3 of them. Its so nice when the smaller teams make the top league. Hull, Blackpool broke the PL mould and now Norwich and Swansea carry the torch this year.

Indeed, the PL is the place to be No Doubts. :emoticon-0102-bigsm
