I would say no, i doubt rangers would of got more than 32-33 points under him. I say this because you only won 1 home game, and did not look like winning anymore in the up and coming fixtures, Who would he have brought in, and when sheff. utd needed to beat wigan to stay up they lost, and i am a fan of warnock, but who did he blame? Liverpool for playing a weakened team against fulham, And he still goes on about it this season on talksport. Thats why i think he lost his head at the fulham game this season, I could be wrong, but you should not lose at home to bolton 4-0, I know he done a fantastic job getting you up. but you are in safe hands now good luck
One of the great unknowables. What could have been? What would have been? What might have been? What's the point? It's irrelevant now. Ta for the interest though. You looking forward to the return in April?
While the answer might have been no,he certainly didn't have the defence.Whether this was all his fault or the previous owners is for you to decide, but without a good defence your screwd whoever you are!
Fulham Traveller, you seem very interested in the R's. Preparing to defect? You will be made very welcome.......the answer to our question is "I don't know" -if he had been able to get the new players in and was lucky with injuries and suspensions, quite probably. But I feel more confident with Sparky.
i havea financial interest in rangers, your club as made me a fair bit of money, last season backed you to win the league, then in december with stan james at 9/2 backed warnock not to be in charge last game of season, also backed you to stay up at the start of the season, so i have a interest in you, i wish you well but not on feb 25
As long as you are winning and not betting on us to go down, that's quite reassuring. Any other punts we should know about??.......... Hold on did you back us to stay up before Fernandes and the cash arrived? If yes slightly less reassuring.....
no backed you on transfer dead line day when you bought barton etc, one more banker done ffc to finish 11 or below at decent odds, should be on a winner there, i am not smug honest
blackburn have had there good run, and they are crap at home, apart from against us and they had 10 men for over a hour, that was along drive home, yes 2-1 i am feeling confident
Not a chance, we were going down with him. Hes proven hes a great NPC manager but an awful PL manager. Hes too stubborn to evolve into whats needed to survive in the PL. The money would have been wasted and weve had been in a huge hole with an old team that no one wants.
My view is that he had, or was in the process of, losing the dressing room and when that happens it is inevitable that relegation follows. That said, he did a fantastic job to get us up from relegation material 14 months earlier and had the misfortune to be caught in the takeover crossfire leaving him with freebies and cheapos before TF arrived and lastminute.com after he arrived, little proper preparation for the toughest league in the world. That was followed by the misfortune to have a losing streak just as we entered the transfer window and TF made a decision that was hard-nosed but probably right. All-in-all Warnock was unlucky with the circumstances that followed our promotion but will always be regarded as a QPR legend...
