I fell for the, its the first one he picked up when he joined the club story, However he did have the same number at his last two clubs so there must be a reason, what ever it is it brings him luck so lets put all of the players in number 31 shirts!

Confuse the hell out of the ref LOL

Apparently he had the number 31 in his first managerial job at Wycombe so it could be linked to Brian Clough or his love of NFL?

My hunch is that it's a reference to a European Cup winners game he played in Ireland - before joining Forest - when Distlliery lost 3- 1 to Barcelona.

I would imagine that match would stick in his mind for ever.

    It's my age.

MON is an angel sent from heaven to make my football team slightly better than average.

    I'm ITK on this...

He was asked in an interview years back. He replied something like...I'll tell everyone one day, but not just now.
Something to do with Cloughie would be my shot in the dark.

He likes to keep things close to his chest our Marty. Maybe it's something to do with his children.

Gotta have a laugh on a Friday. We're away to Spurs at the weekend and I have a feeling the scoreline will be no laughing matter. Harry's big send off and all that.
