Because of how their teams are portrayed to play the same direct style of football. One MAJOR difference: When big Sam brought in players with flair, he actually played them, when Pulis buys a player with flair, within 6 months they are shipped out never to be heard of again. Hope big Sam brings West Ham up, cause in my eyes he is a very decent manager, as for Mr Pulis, grow a pair of bollocks, let the team flow like it can do, & stop with all the negative tactics that is holding us back.
would you prefer to play good football then get relegated? you would have thought he could do nothing wrong given all the work he's done for the club, i guess you'll never please some people
You support cardiff? Thank you for your contribution. Did i say we would get relegated? Yes he as done brilliant for SCFC. I guess you will never please some people? Some posters will allways object to the managers Tactics/Formations & that is our perogative on our site, thats what instigates discussion. Mr Pulis NEVER pleases 50%+of his decisions regarding SCFC, but that is his right.
Hi Swamp, It would be nice to see some football - because the last I saw was against Blackburn on January 2nd. Since then it has been awful hoof ball or everyone back defending (Liverpool away, Man U away). If as our manager constantly emphasises, you need points from teams similair to yourselves, as anything gleaned against the "big 6" is a bonus, then things are looking a bit bleak ( 2 points form 12 against Villa, WBA, Wigan and Sunderland). If the fans are negative, it is because the manager never has a positive or forward thinking comment to make. Still, I suppose he can't escape his genes.
I understand the comparison but feel that BIG Sam played that way at Bolton because he had very little money (unlike TP) and also had some very good cup runs and a spell in Europe! But when given a bit more money and a free rein (Newcastle) he did dissapoint although if kept I think he would have kept Newcastle up and they would have developed nicely - but who knows?
Allardyce is a gobshite on a par with Mourinho, Ferguson, Wenger and Dalglish. However, none of the other four support the FA's ludicrous Game 39 idea, whilst Allardyce used his Standard column to say what a great idea it is - presumably forgetting they don't play 46 games per season the the Premier League...
