Better not be cursed as it usually has been, even though Powell has won it before :)

And didn't realise Chesterfield were playing so well at the moment to have their manager nominated and their goal keeper too!

CP deserves all of the plaudits he is getting. He has done a superb job in weeding out the dross and building such talented, fresh and classy outfit.

I am more concerned about other clubs sniffing about when they give their own managers the chop. He is sure to be on a few radars, but I reckon his love of the club and the enjoyment of lifting us out of the doldrums will ensure his loyalty,

Reminds me of the time that the great Pat Jennings was made Footballer of the Year - in an unguarded moment, he said something to the effect that he had plenty of opportunities to shine playing behind such a dodgy defence...:emoticon-0105-wink:

When I was in sheff for the Wednesday game I met a bunch of 'field fans who wanted Sheridan gone. I said was it that you were playing poorly and losing, or playing well ad losing. It was the former, so I was surprised by their want for him to go.

They remind me of Doncaster in our first championship season, that said, top vs bottom/ there shouldn't be an excuse.
