So who will it be, stand out choice is Harry, but will it be him, will he leave Tottenham or will they be willing to pay what he wants, or will they choose someone else.
Have your vote and explain below
    Have fun.

Votes open, I think it will be Harry but if he does not get it or if he turns it down I think it may be Pearce, but if that incident revolving around him and Shearer stops that then it will be Moyes.

There are lots of pros and cons associated with the main candidates. Harry Redknapp might be the bookies favourite but why should we have to pay a fortune to Spurs for his release and then have to pay bonuses to his bulldog? Perhaps we could get better value by appointing the bulldog.
Stuart Pearce is next favourite but seeing as his brother is a top bloke in the BNP it might not be motivational for those players who are sensitive about John Terry and racism. Having an all white selection policy is only going to cause trouble.
The smart money is on Dimson. England have a great away record and only struggle at home. Dimson would soon change that. Any of the big time charlies could be sent out on loan to Wrexham or Dover and anyone taller than 5' 6" could give up straight away. His problem of finding away grounds will be overcome if the pilot is chosen carefully and the experience with Capello shows that we can cope with a Manager with limited command of the English language. And he is available.
That leaves space for a "dark horse." An outsider with good experience of Championship Manager, a passion and enthusiasm for the game, Someone with strong contacts in the game and who could get a few internationals out on loan at Priestfield. Most of all someone who could use polls on not606 to pick the team. Yes Hoadie your country needs you. Get your application in straight away, this could be your destiny.

Steve Bruce would be my choice. But nobody else seems to have even considered him.

    Del Boy Trotter,

The football might be crap but you'll get a good "deal" on the tickets.

I would go for Hiddink, proven track record at international level, it is a no brainer.

Unfortunately the press and idiot fanbase are wanting an English manager which will mean it will be Honest 'Arry (who today said he would want to tempt Scholes out of international retirement) and England will slide depressing down the rankings

roy hodgson, safe pair of hands who can read and write and can lead england for another boring 4 years. as long as the premier clubs continue with 32% of english players england have no chance and never will

    remedies

maximum of 10% foreign players in the squad
combine the 4 home countries and gb might win something

I think Hodgson is a good choice, I think that he would be good as he has got a bit of international experience so he has been there and done that.

Wow a thread like this was started on the Toon board on 10/02/2012 03:42 PM, what a coincidence that somebody on the Gillingham board should start one about the same thing at 10/02/2012 05:37 PM. (Especially as he took the time to actually vote on the original thread.)

A touch of plagiarism HB or just another coincidence? It isn't the first time you've used other peoples work to post as threads on the Gillingham board.

Maybe brb should shackle you up to Hercules to stop you venturing up North so often.

Why didn't you include 'arrys dog Rosie as another candidate just to add a bit of humour to the thread.

That can count as an option for the other section if you want.
Instead of saying that the dog could be in with a shout it is in with a bark.
