    Hi Guys

We all know that Bob Murray brought us the SOL and Bob Stokoe the FA CUP but what will be remembered in 20 years time as SNQ's greatest achievement?

I hope not getting relegated in those 20 years, that was his aim.

Saving the club from certain demise, and bringing a massive turn around in fortunes. Bringing in Short and MON (As is said in another thread, the appointed of MON has Quinn written all over it)

Murray built the foundation for SAFC in modern times (a modern stadium and the AoL) , Quinn stopped the rot, has built the walls and put the roof on and it is now up to Ellis and MON to build the pinnacle.

The people he brought in. We were bottom of the Championship, and he brought in a ruthless driver - Keane. We were broke and he brought in Drumaville. When the Irish economy dropped, he brought in Ellis Short. When Short introduced sensible business principles he brought in book-balancing Bruce. When we needed administrative efficiency, he brought in Margaret Byrne.

His failing was to remain attached to Bruce long after the fan base (and perhaps the players) had lost faith in him. I remember writing on here around September that Niall was hurting his own credibility by doing that. And I think he did. He moved to one side (under what circumstances, we'll never know) and now he's gone altogether. I texted my sister in Sunderland this morning saying he'd gone. She texted back 'Very sad but was going to happen' She wasn't shocked at all.
