According to the Daily Mail, Richardson, along with a few others (Bramble, Mohammed Ali, Gordon and Turner amongst them) will be offloaded this summer as they are getting to the end of their contracts (1 year left)

I think he (Kieran) has been doing fine just lately and unless he wants away we should keep him.

I'd like us to keep Craig Gordon as well. Turner for a squad player.

We would have to see what (The) Bridges and Archimedes Kyristanopapadopolous turn out like but are they marked as replacements for Kieran and Turner?

More crap from the Daily Mail.

The greek player might be a replacement for Bramble if he gets found guilty, but not Turner.

Bridge might be kept as cover for Ricco, but to replace him? I dont think so -otherwise we will be down to one LB again.

I hope KR stays, I like the lad and he seems happy enough.
MON seems to rate him too.

Surely if they were here to replace them, they would be in the team ahead of them now.

The greek hasnt even had a kick has he, and Bridge about 20 minutes or so.

I really cant see it tbh, but you never know in football.

I think KR is a really interesting one at the moment, he has definitely picked up form under MON - however I am still not convinced that he is the quality "natural" left back that we need to take us on again next season...I would probably keep him as a squad player because of his versatility, but if he had to go to allow a top quality LB to come in I could live with that - depends on MON overall view on the balance of the team for next season I guess.

daily Mail has never got any Sunderland transfer correct yet and it is pure speculation.
to be honest i am not really bothered what O'Neil does as i am sure what ever he does will benefit the club.

Lets go win the F.A. Cup for Sir Nial

Ricco, although by no means a consistent player at all, has flashes of brilliance and has been good under MON, Turner is a useful sub, not too sure about Gordon tho.

Gordon's out of contract in the summer I believe so he will probably go if he doesn't sort his fitness out - other than that all I can say is that it's the Daily Mail which is usually less reliable than the Sport

True Marcus, and without half the attractions of it!

Seriously, Richardson was never a natural LB. He was chucked in there and has had to learn the job. He's improving at it as time goes on, and I'd give the lad full credit for his effort and determination. I hope he stays.

I'm getting right pissed off with people bad-mouthing the Daily Mail. It's got a terrific quiz pull-out.

A non story. All the reporter has done is looked at who only has 1 year left in their contract and their picked the most well known and speculated about it.

I can't see Richardson or Turner leaving. We have one of the best defences in the league why would MON sell 2 of the regulars in that defence??

I agree if we could get a better LB then we should but personally I can't think of many better that would come to us or that are available.

I don't expect whole sale changes in the summer. Elmo and Gordon will probably go and maybe one of the CM's. We will bring in a couple of defenders and a striker and I see that as being about it. Especially if our current form continues.

Our biggest problem will be holding on to players like: Sess, McClean and Gardner.
