Can't wait to have Cabaye and Tiote back in the squad.

    How I've missed them!!!

Guthrie has done a good job. Going to be hard for Pardew to drop him and if he does it will be hard on the lad.

Guthrie only came in because of Cabayes suspension.

Pardew should have no qualms about dropping Guthrie to the bench as Cabaye is a far superior player.

The Tottenham game came at a good time if I'm honest.

Gives Pardew a chance to replace the Guthries etc by stating he needs a big shake around after the last performance.

If we won then Cabaye would of been on the bench.

We'll be at virtually full strength (except Marv, Best and Saylor) so I'd expect a good performance and the right result.

Saylor is he only one of those who would be starting in any event.

Although Marv and Best on the bench would be preferable to Gosling and Shola.

It goes without saying Tiote should be back in, if Cabaye does come back in hopefully he will have picked himself up, his performances pre-suspension had dropped from what he's capable of.

I think he just needed a break. He covers more miles per match than most of the squad. Having a chance to put his feet up and enjoy a few crepes hopefully has recharged his batteries.

I think that's why it might be difficult for Pardew to drop Guthrie.

If we'd got a result at Spurs, I'd say youwere right.

To be fair, Spurs were simply outstanding and I think that even with our full first choice squad we'd have struggled to get something out of that match such was the quality of Spurs play.

Krul, Simpson, Santon, Williamson, Colo, Tiote, Cabaye, Benni, Jonas, Ba, Cisse would be my preference. Excellent to have Cheik back in particular. We've missed him badly. Guthrie has impressed for the first time ever this season but I'd still go with the usual pair.

Raylor might get the nod ahead of Benni if he's fit.

Absolutely agree. I just think the result gives Pardew a free hand (whichhe of course has anyway) to say that he needs to make changes
