Is Tiote good enough?

    I have noticed recently that Tiote has not been up to our usual impressive standards.

    It really annoys me that he cannot pass a ball forward properly without giving it away. Guthrie sits on the bench most games and must be very frustrated that he is watching such an overrated player ahead of him in the pecking order.

    It is no wonder that he does not want to sign a new deal and I fear that he will be off to a team like Aston Villa in the summer.

    We should sell Tiote while we can get some money for him and we should get rid of Ameobi, Lovenkrands, Obertan, R.Taylor, Perch and Simpson while we are at it.

    Thoughts?

    I agree. Tiote is vastly over rated and when compared to certain players, he is mediocre at best. In other news, pigs CAN actually fly and the tooth fairy is real!

    The OP might have been on a wind up, but Tiote is somewhat overrated in my mind. He's been less than stellar this season. Better than Cabaye though, who needs to improve a lot next season. After all the ranting and raving about Carr's scouting abilities, too many of our signings are beginning to look a bit iffy. Who gave the go ahead on Obertan and sick note Marveaux FFS?

    Been disappointed with Cabaye in particular, he just hasn't shown us what he's capable of.

    Cabaye looks very frustrated playing this style of play. He started off well but since we stuffed ManUre we have been poor in centre midfield.

    Have you also noticed that teams have started closing us down quickly forcing us to play long more often. Seems we've been found out and they know if our defensive minded midfield can be taken out of the equation by forcing us long, they can win the ball back easier as we don't support the strikers with an attacking midfielder.
