Dai, do you have a fixation on Danny Graham? I only ask as he is the only player you seem to be blaming for the last few defeats.

May I remind you, that without Danny Graham, we would have lost to Wolves, and QPR, and drawn with Arsenal and West Brom.

The reason DG is always by the half way line is the way to we play. Buck asks for him to be there. Take the Arsenal game for example. He wasn't near the Arsenal goal, Siggy played the pass and he ran onto it. If we didn't play the way we do, he would have been near the box and that move wouldn't have happened.

who hates danny grayham??????? i dont i just think the prem is a bit to hard for him. would sir alex keep playing rooney if his goals dried up? of course he wouldn't and he has proved that many times. im sorry goals win games and not the amount of possession we have and i cant remember when danny last scored. what shall we do then keep playing danny who everyone says he dont get any service (which is bollox) or do we try a different player and see if it makes a difference.....however much we think we are safe we will lose millions as we drop down the table. why think i hate danny, it is his job to score goals and he is not doing it....

The way your putting it across, it appears you do Dai.

The Premiership isn't too hard for him, not at all. He has scored some great goals, some of which were very important. You talk of possession, but possession doesn't win you game. We could have 90% possession, but if the ball doesn't go near the striker or opponents box, your not going to score.

For me, it's stick with Graham up front, and bring Routledge in for Scotty. Scotty is too selfish for me and looks to shoot all the time. With Dyer and Wayne, we'll have to players that can beat the last man and put the ball into the killer area, the area that Danny Graham can score from.

Personally I would like to see how we play with Sinclair, Dyer AND Routledge playing, with Graham getting the chop for Sinclair to play in the centre - where he is more dangerous. Can't see it happening tomorrow - but with all those open spaces at Old Trafford they would cause mayhem <ok>

Sir Alex always picks Rooney, drought our not. For us, Demba Ba hasn't scored in 7 games, we keep playing him though because he's a top class player and good for the team. If you don't play someone because they're not scoring, how are they going to start scoring again? Form is temporary, class is permanent.

pgf now thats what i would like to see, sinclair was originally a striker before being changed to a winger by his last club so he can do the job, one of brendans faults has been his lack of variation and i would like to see a 4-3-1-2 formation with sinclair and danny up front and routledge and dyer on the wings with sigg just in front of the midfield given a free reign. .....im hoping for a win today with a goal from danny and he will get that goal if he gets forward more, tough game but winnable if brendan can choose the right tactics, i dont want to see lots of possession in our own half with next to nothing up front and the toon score on the break......

    4-3-1-2?

    ..............................Vorm.................................

    Rangel.........Caulker........Williams.............Taylor

    Dyer..................Allen/Britton...............Routledge

    ............................. Siggy.................................

    ............................/Sinclair...............................

Way to offensive for me. If we don't control possession, they'll hit us on the break no end of times. IMO, way to dangerous to play these sort of tactics.

id go for that ash but i doubt brendan will, he will stick to the same team and formation and tactics and we will struggle for goals, give me 2 up front at home anyday but play one up front in away games. we know the back four and the midfield can keep the ball with no problem and are probably the best in the premiership in doing that but they need a couple of forwards up front as target men to score the goals....

Ok , I changed it aswan_dam, hehe . With us leaking goals from set pieces , the last person Buck will leave out is Graham . The only reason he even got subbed out last game is the intense physical display he mustered up .

so you think playing 2 wingers, 2 strikers , and an attack minded midfielder would be a good idea....recipe for losing 6-3, 7-2, every week, to call you naiive would be an understatement..<laugh>

i just looked at the watford thread about danny graham, via the recent sordell one, and you dont half talk some crap there, he wont score 10 goals, etc etc (which he has done with 7 to spare) and countless other knee jerk statements.....<laugh>

Swamp = spot on. Dai's solution is nothing but a blueprint for mayhem. Most of us know that, and thank god Rodgers does too.

As others have said, SAF picks Rooney even if he's having a bad spell because he knows form is temporary. Last time I looked he also has just a few more options available than us.
