I think you guys should try editing stats yourself because it's not as simple as making up overall ratings.

To make their overall ratings as high as some of you have made them, you need to give them pretty high attributes in certain areas.

Overall ratings don't necessarily mean they're good players. And just because a player has a higher overall rating than other, doesn't make him more effective really.

Krul is a better shot stopper than most in the league, but his overall rating will be lower than others because his kicking his average and he's still working a bit on his positioning.

With GK's there's only 5 different attributes their overal rating's are judged on, so if one aspect of a keeper is lower than the others, it will seriously effect his rating i.e. Krul with his average kicking.

 

What does everyone think Ben Arfa's finishing rating should be on the game?

I've got it at 78 which I think is a fair stat. He's not as good of a finisher as Ba/Cisse, but he can slot away a good chance.

 

Id say it should be about 5 points lower than Ba/Cisse but he should have a high dribbling and pretty good long shot ability (Not as good as cabayes though).

 

Well here's all my stats for Ben Arfa - I'm trying to keep up with how fast the players are improving but at the same time I don't want to make them too good because I like the challenge of being the under dog vs Barca or Real.

Here's all my edits for him -

Crossing - 76
Finishing - 78
Long shots - 77 (Potentially he's better at them but I don't want to make it a higher stat until he's scoring them a bit more often)
Short pass - 78

Dribbling - 86 (Again he could be higher but at 86 he's gets the dribbling specialty and I don't know exactly how high he should be. 86 minimum for his dribbling)
Ball control - 84 (Him and Colo are both great at ball control, I'd have them both 84 for this, they're both great at stopping a ball dead and hanging on to it)
Long pass - 73 (He's OK at long pass but it's not really one of his best abilities)

Shot power - 84
Strength - 75
Balance - 82 (His balance on the ball is good, he doesn't get knocked over or shoved off easily)
Acceleration - 85
Sprint Speed - 83
Agility - 85

Attack positioning - 81
Vision - 80

That's most of them. Overall he's an 81.

 

If Simpson was rated that highly then he would be one of the best right backs on the game.
Your ratings are far too generous, it would make us a 5 star team which we aren't...yet

Id probably put his acceleration up a few.. He is flat out over 100 yards and even with the ball at his feet he is electric... Probably put his strength at the same as Messi... Probably like 72ish... (Thats the one problem with the game... You dont get to appreciate players like Messi and Ben Arfa as they can only be used for sprinting otherwise they just get barged off the ball...

 

Non of this matters it's just some ****ing pixels mving around on a screen!!! seriously lads you will waste your talents on computer games. Play darts or something at least.

Well actually on the game, players with good balance are usually hard to knock off the ball. Messi isn't easy to get off the ball due to his 95 balance.

I ****ed up the title of the thread, it was meant to be fifa 13 stats. And I come up with my ratings with a combination of guesses and estimates, much like you do

I don't think I made my ratings too high at all. I'm banking on Newcastle finishing 4th and playing Champions league football. Considering fifa game stats are a representation of form over their career but mainly in the past year of playing, I think that a team finishing higher than Liverpool, Chelsea, perhaps Tottenham should be represented as having players on even keel with them ability-wise. We may not have been as consistent as them over the past few years, but this year we've been a hell of a lot better. Players like Coloccini deserve to be 84 and above (overall for the CB position) and have a ****load of decent perks, but only if they perform and have the stats for it. And we have

 

Yeah but mate, the players should go up because of their personal quality and improvement, not just because we're in the CL.

Your ratings are just totally out of thin air. You would have to give the players unrealistic and ridiculous attributes for them to have those ratings mate, and giving Simmo an 80 that makes him one of the best RB's in the game...

 

Small fry money! Jesus holy ****!!!!!! don't add gambling to this.
