Gotta feel he was pushed into this by the media, shame how such a great player can be forced into this, but he is still a great batsman and long may he continue to be so.
I hope he is remembered for being a great captin and batsman not for his final year in charge or the 2005 ashes loss
I'll remember him for GaryPrattGate. Great player though, expect he'll continue to play for Aus as they won't be able to replace him.
Average captain, great batsman would be my view. Anyone could have captained Aus in the 90's, early to mid 00's. He was exposed, as not being much of a tactician, when the legendary team was broken up.
