Just seen this on twitter, dont really know much about the guy. Touted to be our next manager? Or total coincidence..... Al-Ahly coach Manuel Jose has announced that he will leave the Egyptian club with immediate effect. Any thoughts ?
Put it this way - it wouldn't be a surprise to see him unveiled at a press conference in the next week, considering it is a name several posters have put forward.
I think that tweet was just a throw away remark, I don't think anyone actually thinks he's coming to us. They think he's got some big money offer from Qatar.
If the Allams do not know anything about football, ( as they say), plus the fact that Ehab was born here and his Poppa has lived here for many years, why would they know anything about football in Egypt and Egyptian Club's Managers? However what an exotic appointment, even though I would think that the majority of us have never heard of him. Interesting isn't it?
He's a great coach and has proved that year after year in Egypt. Here in Portugal he only trained of the big three, Sporting Lisbon. He says everything he thinks and that doesn't go well with some clubs. Porto chairman is one of his "enemies". The team would be running like race horses but i think he's too old and wouldn't come to Hull.
Have not read threads this morning so apologies if it has been mentioned but apparently Manuel Jose from Al-Ahly is leaving. Coincidence or what. This is what I have always feared, the way the Allam's want to run it, what better for them than someone not involved in the Brit style of running a club, think they could have a good relationship with him and do things their way or now way. Apparently the Allams are in London for a Squash Championship this week so not hands on at the club. I tell you all those people thinking us doubters are over the top and panicking, I hope you are right. Awful feeling of dread though.
If this happens, I will spew a pyramid. Then I'll **** a sphinx. The thing is, you can't write it out. It just might happen. I feel like exhaling for a long time and loudly, as a way of displaying my current emotions. I think they call it a 'sigh'. HooooOOOoooOOoOOooOOOOoooOOOOoooOooOooooo.....ooOOOooo.....oooooooOOOOOO.....oooooo.... Better now.
Made me think of this, Party:
Not that London!!! FFS thatys like the other side of the world. What the hell do they think they are doing. Unbeleavable-shock-indignation-i wont sleep tonight. I may even go to the KC just to make sure there is someone there with the best interests of the club at heart just in case.
There won't be, they've all been sacked or made redundant, though Cooper might be there fitting a few extra camera's.
Yup, all of them, the only club employee's are now Assem and Ehab Allam. Assem will take training, handle the transfers and write the programme notes, while Ehab does the hoovering and washes the kits.
Well are they going to interview our shortlisted managers in London then, sorry but I thought they were going to get the manager sorted by the end of the week. Or then again maybe there is no short list and they know who they are going to appoint already.
But everyone knows that Nick Barmby has his appeal on Monday, so nothing can happen until after that.
The thing with NB's appeal is that he can't be appealing to get his job back. If it was for the job I can't believe he would want to work for them & doubt they would give him much time anyway before something else came up. Surely his appeal is to either clear his name or is about money.
