This is when I thought we were relegated.... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/h/hull_city/8571513.stm
I don't know why but the BBC using "unveiled" to describe the appoinment of Dowie just sounds wrong to me. It give a suggestion of something magnificent or grand neither of which Dowie was. I speak without hyerbole when I say that there was a not a manager in the entire football league that I wouldn't have taken over Dowie.

Lol. Listening to that post match interview with the players, didn't catch it at the time" "Dean, have you ever scored a better goal than that?" "Yeah, loads" Myhill "Since Deano came here, he's been class, a different gravy" - Good to see Hull has had a lasting effect on him.
It was obvious we were going to make the drop when Dowie took over. Bad timing mixed in with a manager who's Premier League record would bring a tear to anyones eye, let's just say it didn't look good.
The results against Chelsea and Man City gave us hope but then we blew it big time against West Ham and from there i didn't think we were good enough to stay up. The Arsenal, Portsmouth games and the way we gifted them the 3 points in both games is a horrible thought. Signing the Elephant Man as our caretaker coach just added more humiliation.
A year ago last weekend we lost 4-1 at home to Burnley, probably our lowest point in the PL. Hopefully those who have become discontented with Pearson (TWF) will do well to remember the clown we had in charge this time last year, and the fear of who would be our manager once the season ended.
I'll save us all time and answer on behalf of TWF : "We still have the same clown in charge of the club, and we wouldn't have had any of those worries about our manager if he hadn't sacked Brown in the first place because we'd still be in the PL"
I think if by some miracle Brown had saved us last year then at this point now we would be rock bottom and in deep doodoo, without a shadow of a doubt, given the players he had brought in.
