Anybody who fancies a new team top for free can try their luck in this NUFC.com competition.

    Home shirt giveaway.

    http://www.nufc.com/

This Thursday (August 9th) sees the release of United's new home kit and thanks to our supplier Soccerbox, we're giving away one shirt to NUFC.com readers in this free-to-enter competition.

Orders for the new home kit and maroon change kit can be made now online here and there's free UK shipping for any orders over £50.

To be in with a chance of winning, email us with the answer to this question:

Which Newcastle player was the first to net in a senior (friendly) match wearing the new home kit?

Closing date is kickoff time against Spurs in our first Premier league game on Sat 18th August @ 5.30pm.

Subject line is shirt and those who choose their own subject line will disqualify themselves (unless entering from HM Forces). Only one entry per person please, no purchase necessary and readers are free to enter regardless of where they are on the planet.

PS: Squad numbers for 2012/13 are expected to be confirmed by NUFC on Thursday.

Get lucky and you won't have to buy one.

It's no secret that the cheapest labour possible is used to make the shirts, I believe kids as young as 10 have been used in the past to help make them.

Think it was AS Monaco and Ba scored, but I was watching the games in the pub so I might have them mixed up. It was a hot thirsty night.
