    Tiote is a major doubt, and they're sweating on him for next saturday.

    Colo has picked up a knock, they are going to assess him. He's due to travel to Argentina. Maybe this is just a trick so he can skip the Argie match?

    I hope so.

    Two of our best players injured for the first game. Plus Ben Arfa not at full fitness.

    No hesitation in chucking Bigi in at the deep end. I've seen him in three or four pre season games and he looks like he could handle it.

    Cabaye has a knock as well and is Papiss fully fit yet? HBA only played 2/3 games so far, so he might not be fully up to speed yet either. Could be a long start to the season.

    Congratulations on picking two **** sources and overreacting. Pardew said they're both doubts and it's not the first time he's done this before a big game, only for that player to then play.

    has to be a ploy from pards! Can't just be a coincidence that the two players set for long travels before the 1st game of the season pick up knocks! ... If I could , I would bet they'd both start against spuds

    Agreed. I said that about Colo.

    Tiote's doesn't sound that light though.

    There's no way to know for sure, but for this to happen days before the first game, it's kind of worrying. Colo is one of our most important players, and the most irreplaceable. He's vital.

    Tiote really improves us when he plays.

    Plus I don't know whether Colo would want to skip his first call up in a while.

    To be fair if a player has an injury the national team physio have to check the player out.
