Just a little fun to find out a bit more about each other,

Q1 Who is the most famous person you have ever met?

Q2 How and where did you come to meet them?

I,ll go first and of course if you are awash with famous friends then you can post more than once.

    Jackie Charlton
Sat next to him on a train from Ely to Cambridge, he was doing an after dinner speech at one of the colleges.
Top bloke, really friendly, when we got to Cambridge he offered to share his cab, but l was going in the opposite direction.

    Okay, your turn .........

Jackie Charlton was having lunch with his wife in a restaurant I was in last year, I was there with a friend, he started chatting to us, he and his wife ended up moving their seats and eating with us, he had a fair few comments about a certain Mr Tevez.

I met Les Ferdinand in a club, he was with Danni Behr, he was lovely to my very drunken friend, and Danni Behr was very gracious, people were bothering him most of the time, they were very patient I have to say.

    2 for me.

Favourite was when I was a lad we had a family holiday and the late, great Sir Bobby Moore was taking football sessions. So I've been 'coached' by England's World Cup winning captain - at Butlins (of all places). More the point, he was fantastic with all the kids and had loads of time for everyone. Just mingled in and chatted to anyone who wanted to. Legend! :emoticon-0103-cool:

The other is more of an embarrassing story. When I was about 7 or 8 my mam took me to London for some special occasion (don't recall what it was), but we were at Buckingham Palace in a big crowd when the Queen, Prince philip and Prince Charles all got out of their car right in front of us - we were right at the front and literally 3 yards away from them. Having only ever seem them before on TV I turned to my mam and in typical kid fashion (i.e. in a way that meant the Royals all heard me loud and clear) I said:

"Mam, they're really small. They look so much bigger on TV. Look!"

I got the most filthy look off Philip as they walked past us, attemting to wave happily to the crowd. <laugh>

Lee Clark once came to our school to coach us. He was excellent crack but a remark he made about his no show mate Andy Cole made our teacher more than a tad worried. He rocked up and the first thing he said was "Sorry that lad who has been on too many sunbeds isn't here today, he just couldn't make it" Our teacher went a very bright shade of red.

To be fair Clarkie was great and put on a terrific training session. One of our teachers fancied himself as a bit of a goalie and came out in full goalie kit much to our amusement. Clarkie did the only thing a self respecting footballer trying to garner respect from a bunch of little raggas could do, and rasted one at his face!

I think you got lucky really Obi. Phillip is mad enough to have clipped you!

Luckily I think he was too preoccupied with trying to think up new insults for the forthcoming meeting they were about to attend with foreign diplomats.

I was lost in Leeds and got directions from the keyboard player out of Kaiser Chiefs, who I believe may be employed to give directions to people lost in Leeds. Thats the best I've got.

Met a few rugby players over the years, Ieuan Evans and Neil Jenkins my personal favourites.
Met Tim Sherwood years ago. Random woman photobomed the picture my dad tried to take of us.
Met a few smaller bands, New found glory, Chromeo, served the singer from Rancid a pint (he was a tit).
Met the big one from Penn and Teller in Vegas. He pretended to punch me for a photo.

Oh and I used to live next door to Percy Montgomery when he played rugby in Wales! His wife was miss south Africa once. Just sayin...

A girl I work with, her friend shagged jermaine Defoe recently, whilst he was seeing that singer.

My ex gf's mum use to go out with George Best before he passed and I had dinner with him twice, he was hillarious, while we were sitting, just him and I, waiting for our food to be bought to us by the girls he said "This is the way its meant to be" i asked what he meant and he said "women in the kitchen, men drinking beer"
YES he did keep drinking after his liver transplant but it was part of his character and made him who he was. Someone i met very briefly but will always remember!!! RIPx
