    (honestly!)

Just a quick question lads, for fantasy football purposes. How likely are the following players to play for you when fit this season?

    Santon
    S Taylor
    Ben Arfa

Needs to be as accurate as possible coz its a work one and we only get 5 transfers all season <yikes>

    Cheers in advance guys <ok>

Santon and S Taylor - highly likely if fit...We're rotating a lot with Europe and cups, so they might not be guaranteed League players every time (although, I'd personally say you're safe with Santon) Watch out for Stevie Taylor's injury record. He's not been clear of injuries for a good few years!

Ben Arfa will get you points for goals and assists, but Pardew treats him very carefully, only playing him when he feels he's physically and mentally ready - don't think he'll start the first game or 2, and further starts will depend on his attitude after that. Will you still get points for them if they're on your bench?

Not convinced about Santon, S Taylor did well for me last year before getting injured and Ben Arfa what's his price like?

Go with them, they'll get you plenty of points.

Agree with Jesus Was a Geordie. All three are likely to get plenty of games, but Taylor has history of injuries, Ben Arfa will do very well IF he's in form and Santon is still developing.

Is it just league games, or all competitons? If the latter then they'll be fine.

That said, are you going for them because of price? As depending on values, I'd go more for Colocini, Cabaye and either Ba or Cisse if you can get them instead.

    Taylor will play, unless injured.
Santon will mostly play, but might not play all the games. Will get points for assists though.
HBA will get a lot of points, but will probs only start 75-80% of games, if that.

Also, if Krul is cheap, last season he kept a record number of clean sheets and we didn't have Stevie Taylor playing and started with Ryan Taylor at LB!

Oh and if you have any spare cash left, there is always Xisco. In fact you can actually have him. Please, no fee. Just take him. <ok>

All three will play a high number of games if fit. Santon would probably be the safest bet to play the most games. I'd say Saylor but as it stands he has to go down as very injury prone. Benni will pick up knocks and could well miss a few games in tactical changes. He'll be the sacrificial lamb so to speak although his work rate last year was first class the majority of the time.

Santon is the best fullback currently on the team.
Saylor , after Colo is the best Centreback. But beware, he came off a season ending Achilles injury(IIRC), and may be eased back into the lineup, but eventually when fit he'll be a certified starter.
As for Ben Arfa, competition for the wing appears to be pretty good with many options so not sure how much Ben Arfa will be rotated, but he's the type of player who can always create something out of nothing.
