What happened to no negativity? From what I'm picking up Final Score it's Tom Ince causing us all the problems, as predicted. Its the whole defensive performance that needs improving not just bringing in another player. What I'm also picking up is that we are looking good when we go forward, its just Blackpool are better and far more incisive, the score line is very very very (adding another very for number 5) disappointing, but what we look for is a response next week.
After two good results you couldn't possibly say that we were promotion material. Equally, it is not possible to say we're going down after one crap performance. Long way to go yet guys and gals........
Agree mate. Expected to lose but did want to perform with a bit of pride. The test now is what PJ does to put this right and what comes out of his mouth post match (always interesting)
Feel free to copy the post where I said you are going down DM. Good luck with finding anything close.
No fight at all that's what makes it so ****ing annoying! How many thrashings are we to suffer this season before that scouse **** finally ****s off?
Funny thing is, this thread was meant as a joke in response to another thread where i said i was backing Jewell until we got tonked by Blackpoo today. What do ya know, we get well and truly tonked by Blackpoo and all of a sudden things aint quite so funny. In actual fact it brings home to roost all the problems that had been papered over by the last few results. We still need a decent CB and i too don't think Smith is the answer but we also need a decent RB, as i said in previous post, we should be playing people in their rightful positions and Edwards is not a RB, we need to get in a specialist RB and the same goes for CB, not some journeyman CM that can play at CB if required. This next week is a vital week for us, fail to bring in the required players and we are screwed, over to you Mr jewell and the ****ing clown that helps seal any deals!! No i am not currently calling for Jewells head but a few more results like this and i most deffo will, oh and i wonder if the same old excuses will come out, can't wait to hear what Jewell has to say!!
Warky, i kind of agree, we have shipped in far too many goals over the last few seasons and yet the problem has still to be resolved, its not rocket science is it? The thing is, its not as if its defeats by the odd goal, we have been hammered many a time and its beyond a joke!! Smith is not the answer, Edwards is not the answer and tbh i'm not sure Chambers and Loach are the answer but they need to be given time i guess, didn't want either but they are now Town players and need our backing!! Hopefully this is a one off and we can all forget it and move on but...........
Totally pissed off about the result but will only starting to question PJ and our wondeful board if 1) we hear the same old crap from P{J again and / or 2) we dont sign any more players of note.
Rushmere I think you will be questioning PJ due to point 1 On a seperate note, i see Brizzle stuffed Cardiff today, Davies and Balcock signed by Brizzle and an instant impact, not sure if they played but.........
Agreed, BUT, they must not be knee jerk panic buys. So far the signings have been well thought out this summer, we cant just panic fill the holes because that will also come back to bite us, and would ultimately annoy me more. Smith Chambers and Loach as a central back 3 only conceded once in 2 games before today and shouldnt be thrown out of the side just because they got torn up by a player that looks set to be a premier league star on his home ground who has a team firing on all cylinders around him. The judgement should be how the defense deals with Rhodes next Saturday.
I'm not one for changing managers constantly, and I'm gonna stick by Jewell here. I expected us to lose today, had it down as 2-0. What I don't understand though, is other teams may get battered yet lose 2 / 3-0. When we're having a bad day, we get absolutely tonked. Really not good enough. The only positive thing for me, is the transfer window is still open. It's patently obvious we need another 3/4 in - there's certainly time to get them. This is ESSENTIAL for us to do anything this season, so get your arse in gear people PLEASE......... What would changing manager right at this second achieve? Literally nothing. It would take another two years down the line until we MAY see progress. I will judge where we are after 10 games. I always do. If we're 17th / 18th or so, then I will finally bring myself over to being a Jewell outer. I can't pretend I'm happy to lose 6-0 today as my phone has been vibrating with gleeful idiotic Man Utd and other premiership " fans " who never go to games ever. If we beat Huddersfield, and I believe we will, 7 points from 12 I would have HAPPILY taken should you have offered me that start of the season.
