Obviously after today you can say I am basing it just on the game, but I have said for a long time to give the lad time to develop, he is still young and it will b great 2 hav a local lad in the team 4 years to come. Why sell him in the summer when in a few years time we could get possibly 2 or 3 times the fee. He wantgs to stay and he cud still prove 2 b an outsanding youth product

The lad was great today, and looked very dangerous in front of goal once he was pushed up due to the injury to Gyan.

Unfortunately i think it is out of sensible. reasonable supporters hands. I feel he will be sold to balance books and to go some way to financing next year's purchases. Hope i'm wrong. but i am so so disillusioned now

Agree. you never know, we may end up with a canny little midfield, with a couple of local lads.
Henderson was brilliant today, and Colback looked very composed. Here's hoping for a bright future.

i was pleasantly surprised by colback's performance, he talked a good game during the week, and backed it up with a very mature display today. In the words of andy gray, take a bow son!

I've always wanted Henderson to do well, local lad etc. etc. but one very good game does not make a top class player. He has been generally disappointing this season. In the past how many average players have we had, that on the strength of just one game have been able to milk it for the season?

Today he showed what he can do, he showed why he received an England cap and why other top managers rate him. Yes he has been playing in a struggling team out of position, but take Gerrard as an example when Liverpool are struggling then he steps up and drags them back into the game, as a local lad playing for his team he should be busting a gut each week to win, not passing sideways or backwards (when he should look to go forward 9 times out of 10) or not putting his foot into a tackle.

I think we could have a real top class player if only he hits some form of consistancy (and yes play him in his best position out on the wing). <ok>
