Which are your favourite horror movies?

Here are mine, in no particular order -

    The Thing - 1982
    Hellraiser
    Poltergeist
    Evil Dead 2
    Se7en
    Event Horizon*
    The Exorcist 3
Nightmare on Elm Street 3 - Dream Warriors.

    * Horror Sci/fi.

My favorite Horror franchise is the Childs Play series. I watched them as a kid believe it or not.

For the gore, you can't get better than Friday the 13th and Nightmare on elm st... although a little cheesey here and there they set the bar for that genre.

I watched the Possession with the Mrs last week and I thought it was decent, certainly worth the admission fee, that's more along side the horror/Thriller kind of film.

Tell you what - that Paranormal Activity movie scared the living bejeezus out of me. I actually couldn't watch the final 20 secs or so. I absolutely refused to watch the sequels because of it.

Rec's not bad, though the loud Spanish screaming gets kind of annoying. The Ring was a bit of a mindtrip as well.

Watching this clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=94SbRbQGndg) from Family Guy was kinda weird at midnight...

Prefer psychological horror/thrillers to gore/jumpcut fests.

Give me Jacob's Ladder or Rosemary's Baby anyday over Scream or Nightmare on Elm St.

Se7en isn't bad though. The Thing is a fantastic movie, and Event Horizon has a great soundtrack (though is a dreadfully silly movie)

Silence of the Lambs, The Shining, Session 9, Repulsion...that's my kind of Horror movie.

The Exorcist is hard to beat.

The Thing is amazing, although not particularly scary...

Nicholas Cages Wicker Man is probably my favourite.

Alien - again not too scary though

And Tash, you can now post your music, film and video's on the Official Music, Film and Video Thread.

Keep them all together and the main forum for the football, as was intended.

    the changeling (spooky)
    martyrs
    Inside
    irreversible
    ginger snaps
    livid

anyone got any recs? (dont start) im always on the lookout

The reviews on Amazon don't look good. Those who gives the first two good reviews, give this one bad reviews.
